Bryce's POV
"Good evening Brody. Won't you invite us in?" He asked with a serious expression on his face.

I smiled at my brother.

This will be worth it. When Brody didn't make haste with moving, Naftali drove him into a wall. "It's your lucky day little man. You have all of our attention."

"Terrence." Nonno acknowledged him. "We're not sorry about dropping in uninvited. Naftali, let him go."

Naftali shoved Brody and Matt made sure to shove him further. "What? I heard it you like it rough." Matt told him.

"Marcelle filled me in. I told you I'll take care of it."

"If he stole a lump of sugar or he broke a plate in our mother's kitchen we would let you handle it. But he brought a gun to our home. He drugged our father and he shot at our mother. You don't take care of it. We do." Alessandro told my father in a low controlled firm tone. "Unless you wish to stand against us."

My father glanced at Brody. "You made your bed. Lie in it."

"Dad!" Brody called him.

"I'm glad we have reached an understanding." Matt cracked his knuckles. His fist met Brody's face at brutal speed. He fell back on the couch. Miki picked him up and shoved him towards Matt for another. When he was pushed back to Miki he hit him too.

My father is not looking. I know he wants to protect Brody but he really crossed the line by shooting at Kei. Any idiot knows that you touch Keira Bale, you get all her sons coming after you.

"Hold him steady."

I took a seat to observe. My father looks tense. If he protects Brody  from this, I'm disowning him. It will be overcompensating for whatever he thinks he has done wrong. I don't think my parents have done anything wrong. You just have to decide what you'll be. A victim of your circumstances or someone who refused to be define by those circumstances.

"Boys, enough." Nonno looked at him with a deathly glare. "You decided to play in the big leagues. I'm not going to fault your father because I believe he raised you right. He must have told you that when you run with horses prepare to be trampled and when you swim with sharks... " nonno nodded. "I don't take kindly to your uninvited presence in my home. I can overlook childish stupidity but what you did was not childish. It was full of intent. What should be done with you Brody?"

"She shot at me first."

Man! He doesn't know how to play this out. He should have apologized. He just missed his cue.

Nonno turned to his sons. "Is it normal for Kei to shoot at people?" He posed the question.

"No! Not Kei!" Naftali answered. "You must have done something to warrant that."

"Like making her scared for her life." Alessandro added.

"You probably pulled your gun first." Miki went on.

"And she was just reacting." Matt closed in with gritted teeth. "The nerve you little punk! My mother?"

"She shot first!" Brody insisted. "I just wanted to talk tomorrow her!"

"What did you want to say that warranted you bringing a gun along Brody?" Uncle Marcelle asked him. "One rule in my father's house. No guns. Explain yourself. Make it good or I swear I'll hurl you out of the window."

"I told her she's old. I told her she needs to let the younger generation run the show. She panicked and shot at me. It was a reflex when I shot at her."

"She's your grandmother and you go to talk to her with a gun?"

"Why the hell is everyone ignoring the part where she had a gun and she shot at me first? Why?" He literally screamed in a panic. He glanced at me. "Won't you say something?"
