Sarv's mass had managed to go on for another hour. Ruv and I wanted to make the party "perfect" for her. We both had a similar feeling that we owed her, but they were different reasons. I told Ruv mine, which was that Sarv took me in, without any hesitation. Ruv refused to tell me his, and I didn't push him to. A simple "no" was enough.
In that span of an hour, we were both able to come up with a few rough ideas for decorations.
The main color, of course, was a pastel pink. The other colors were variations of pink, and white. Simple cross-shaped decorations would be hung from the ceiling, along with smaller 2D hearts. Plain pink cloths would be put on tables, and confetti would be everywhere. Ruv added that, and when he mentioned it to me, a disappointed sigh followed. It was somewhat amusing.
When it came to food and invitations, we were almost done with those two. Sarv liked Red Velvet, so that was the type of cake we planned to get. We also planned for simple vanilla cupcakes, topped with a strawberry. Pink Lemonade would be provided as well.
Invitations however, were a bit trickier. We wanted to invite as many people as possible, but didn't want to invite all of the people that showed up to a mass once or twice. The people that showed up more often, were definitely going to be invited. From my knowledge and Ruv's together, Sarv was quite close with a few people, and surprisingly, so was Ruv.
The couple that Sarv had "dealt with" after that one night, was invited. Ruv informed me that they had made amends, but while he told me about it, a disappointed expression and tone was present. He clearly didn't really like these two, which was understandable. I didn't really like them either. They were the ones who resulted the church being wrecked. That was in the past now.
Sarv was also close with some other people in the town. Such as, Skid and Pump, Senpai, BF and GF, Carol, and a few people that have attended her masses. Sarv also had connections with Mommy Mearest and Daddy Dearest, but neither Ruv nor I knew how. It was somewhat chilling.
Ruv knew fewer people, but was closer with them. They were Whitty, Zardy, and Pico. I wasn't really surprised however. He gave me a simple rundown of all their personalities, and it made sense why they were friends. I told Ruv about the one other person I was close two, and he eventually agreed to let me invite him. Ron.
I hadn't talked to the poor guy in weeks. Maybe years. I honestly don't remember. All I remember is that I talked to him right before the coma. Which was 2 years ago. He's probably worried sick, feels guilty, or has forgotten about me. Disregarding all that, I remembered I still do have his phone number saved on my phone.
Ruv and I wrote whatever we could on some papers, and hid them carefully in my area of the room, seeing as Sarv would less likely check there. With a few close calls, and almost pulling the paper out in front of Sarv, Ruv and I almost had everything written down and ready. However, we only had a few days, seeing as it was now Tuesday. We needed to get the supplies without Sarv noticing. And we'd have to set up the party in the midst of the night, making sure Sarv doesn't see us. It'd be a tedious job, but it would be worth it.
...
I stretched my legs out from where I laid. The sleeping bag Sarv gave me a while ago had grown on me. It now felt comfortable, and I was finally able to sleep peacefully. No nightmares, no sleepless nights, and no worries. Just its cold texture, weighing out the warmth the blankets brought. It was a perfect balance.
I opened my eyes, yawning. I didn't know what time it was, but it was Tuesday. I remember Ruv telling me that we needed to get the decorations and invitations to people out today. Food would come tomorrow. It wouldn't be hard to get invitations out. Whether it be via text or a letter. I would stay back and distract Sarv if she got suspicious of us, while Ruv went and bough decorations.
