I watched as all the candles were blown out and waited until the boys started snoring. I quietly crept down the ivy into the maze and tiptoed to where they threw Gally. I looked through the bamboo bars of the cell and saw him. He was curled in a ball, slightly shivering.

I reached in my backpack and pulled out what I needed-two paper clips, a blanket and a note I wrote specifically for Gally. I unwinded the paper clips and picked the lock to the slammer. When it unlocked, I jumped in and gently draped the blanket over Gally's sleeping form. He stirred a bit but went back to normal. I placed the note next to his head and climbed out of the ditch. I shut the door and locked it before running back to the maze wall.

~time skip~
Gally's pov:

I woke up in the pit, covered in a soft blanket and a note beside me. I folded the blanket and grabbed the note. It was small and neatly folded with really clean handwriting.

Gally,
Meet me in the darkest corner of the forest after breakfast. I have a feeling you want to know more about me and I want to know more about the glade. You can bring the others if you want, but only bring three. See you soon.

I folded the note as Alby came to the slammer. He unlocked it and I climbed out with the blanket and the note. "Where did those come from?" He asked.

"The girl in the maze must have brought them. I actually wanted to talk to you about the note." I replied.

"Yeah, what about it?"

"Can we talk about it with Newt and Minho?"

"Sure. Breakfast is ready, by the way."

I nodded and walked to the hammock area, dumping the blanket on my hammock before walking to breakfast. I grabbed my plate and sat at a table with Alby, Minho and Newt.

"Well, what did you want to talk about?" Newt asked as I sat down.

"The girl in the maze wants to see me in private." I replied, starting to eat my scrambled eggs.

"The hell that got to do with us? If she wants to see you, then she wants to see you." Minho said.

"That's the thing, she said I could bring three people with me so I thought you guys could accompany me." I replied.

"I see no problem with that. When does she want to meet?" Alby asked.

"After breakfast in the darkest corner of the deadheads." I answered.

"Well we best not keep the lady waiting." Minho said as he wolfed down his food.

~time skip~

I walked with into the deadheads and leaned against the corner of the walls. Minho, Newt and Alby stayed back a little bit and I waited. There was a shuffling in the vines as Y/n swung down.

"I didn't think you'd actually come." She said when she saw me.

"Well I did. I also brought a couple of friends." I gestured for the boys to come out and Y/n stepped closer to the wall.

"Y/n, it is my pleasure to introduce you to Alby, Minho and Newt." I pointed to each of them as I said their names.

"Nice to finally meet you, love." Newt said as he kindly waved to Y/n.

"Hi." She shyly waved back. "So those questions you are dying to know the answer to..."

"Yes, um...how long have you been here?" I asked as we all sat down.

"I've been here for roughly eight or so years." She replied

"How did you come to be in the maze?" Alby questioned.

"My parents left me here when I was six because they were dying. I've fended for myself ever since."

"How much of the maze have you run?" Minho jumped in.

"I only stay around section seven, that's where my house is. It's also where Twiggy stays."

"Who's Twiggy?" I asked.

"He's the grevier that always hangs out with me. He's like my best friend."

"So they don't attack you. That's cool." Newt said.

"Well, seeing that we're neighbours now, how would you like to be the guest of honour at a welcoming bonfire tonight?" Alby asked.

"That would be nice. What time?" Y/n asked.

"Around dinner." Newt replied, getting up from the floor.

"I can't wait." Y/n said cheerfully. "I'll make sure to bring my violin." She sat up and climbed the walls.

""So that's how she got away from you the first time." Minho said to me as he stood up.

"Yeah." I sighed as she disappeared out of sight.

"You should start running, Minho." Newt said.

"That's probably a good idea." Minho said as he ran to the east door.

"And you guys should probably tell the shanks out there that we will have a bonfire tonight. Keep out the part about Y/n for now." Alby ordered. I nodded and followed Newt into the main part of the glade, eager to get to tonight.
