"Jimin! Come out! you'll be late for your interview."

Jimin sprayed a few pumps of perfume while looking at the mirror. She smiled at herself, satisfied of her outfit.

Jimin then walked out of her room and greeted her father.

"I still have time." Jimin sat down and ate her breakfast. "wish me luck, dad." Jimin finished her food and kissed her father's cheek.

-

"next!" Minjeong lazily called out. today, she had to do the interview her father asked her.

After the next applicant came in, Minjeong got a call from her father.

"what?" she said coldly. "not one. They're not good enough."

Minjeong sighed at something her father said. She looks irritated.

"yea, yeah. Bye." She then hung up the call. Who told you to sit down?" she said to the man in front of her.

"I'm sorry." The man stood up and bowed to her.

Minjeong eyed the man up and down.

"you got your socks in a different color, your tie is a little loose, and you didn't fully buttoned up your shirt." Minjeong pointed out.

"I was in a hurry so I-" the man replied. That earned a glare from Minjeong.

"oh well. Nobody seems to fit in this company." Minjeong then stood up and tidy up her suit, brushing her shoulders. "now, if you excuse me."

"ma'am, please. I need this job." The man pleaded in front of her.

"Lia! Get this man out of here." Minjeong called her assistant.

Lia then looked towards the poor man. She asked him to leave politely.

"don't you wanna read his resume?" Lia whispered to Minjeong.

"do you wanna get fired?" Minjeong said then looked outside. She saw a few people still waiting for the interview. "can you tell them to go?"

"but they're here since 7am." Lia's words got ignored by the young CEO as she walked out of the room. Lia just sighed and did what she told.

-

"did you get the job?" Jimin's father said from the phone.

"not yet. They're on a break." Jimin said as she took a sip of her coffee. She decided to wait at the company's café.

"at this hour?"

"the CEO does." Jimin then saw one of the waitresses bumped into someone.

"okay then. Love you." Her father then hung up the phone.

The occurrence gained a lot of attention as the woman slapped the waitress. Seeing this, Jimin furrowed her eyebrows. She walked to the waitress and kneeled beside her.

"miss, are you okay?" Jimin asked the older woman beside her. she then looked up at the other woman. "is this necessary?"

"look, a superhero." Minjeong scoffed at both of them. "who are you anyway?"

"you don't have to know. A young woman like you need to learn some attitudes." Jimin said to her and helped the waitress back on her feet.

"is that so?" Minjeong smirked. "from what I can tell, you want to apply here. So why don't you show me some respect."

"a person like you doesn't deserve any respect." Jimin stare straight into Minjeong's eyes.

Those words gained gasps from people around them.

"how dare you talk to me like that." Minjeong got furious. She felt humiliated by the unknown girl in front of her. she held her hand up.

"go on. Go ahead and slap me. people know who's wrong in this." Jimin said to her. she then told the waitress to go back.

Minjeong looked around her. she hated how people stare at them as if she's doing something wrong. She's not wrong.

"listen here you little shit." Minjeong grabbed Jimin by the collar. "I'll let you go this time. Don't ever show your face at this company ever again." She then pushed her away and left.

Jimin decided to go home. She took of her high heels and rests on the couch. She decided to look for another job.

-

"Lia. Can you check on a girl named Yu Jimin?" she saw a familiar face while reading resumes from the applicants.

"right away."

Minjeong massaged her temples. She then punched the table out of anger.

"whoa... who hurt you?" a voice was heard from the door. "here." The girl shoved a poster in front of her.

"not this week, Yujin." Minjeong looked up at her friend.

"alright. Usually when you said that you'll come." Yujin sat herself on the chair crossing her legs.

"don't you have anything to do? I'm busy." Minjeong kept on reading Jimin's file.

"I do. I have a training later." Yujin sighed. "call me, then. See you."

Minjeong said nothing as Yujin left.

"if your dad found out, I won't defend you." Lia said not looking up from her computer.

"you just need to shut up about it." Minjeong looked around as if looking for something. She then took the poster and stare at it for a good minute.

"you need to stop. It's not good for you." Lia continued. She considers Minjeong as her own little sister.

"you're not my mother." Minjeong stretched herself. "do we have another applicants?"

"thought you never ask."
