Just like she promised, Minjeong let go of Jimin. She's no longer working for her. it's been a month since she left and Minjeong continued her hunt.

"miss." Giselle walked in to the office. "she applied to a new company a week ago."

"hm..." Minjeong read the file. "bingo."

"it's one of our branches, miss." Gisele informed.

"I know. Thank you." Minjeong smiled at her. she then called Vivian to inform her about it.

"Jeong. We'll have a meeting in ten minutes." Lia informed.

She then tidies up herself and went to the meeting room. after some time waiting, people started gathering.

She then saw a familiar face. Jimin.

"shall we start the meeting?" one of the manager said.

They both acted like nothing happened between them and keep their professional manner throughout the meeting. Once the meeting ended, Minjeong called her.

"hey." Minjeong stood in front of her.

"I'm sorry. I need to go." Jimin tried to walk past her but she kept preventing her.

"excuse me, miss. Is anything wrong." Jimin's new boss appeared.

"you can go first. I need to talk to her." Minjeong said to him. He then left them both.

"what do you want?" Jimin didn't want anything to do with her.

"we haven't talk in a while. Why don't you stay a bit." Minjeong then walked to her office.

Somehow, Jimin followed her.

"sit down." Minjeong asked. "how's Hansol?"

"suddenly?" Jimin scoffed. "he's busy."

Minjeong chuckled at what she said.

"busy, sure." she paused and looked at Jimin. "you let your hair down."

"I did."

"how's your dad?" Minjeong tried to open some decent conversations.

"he's working late again."

"of course, he is." Minjeong said a little quiet.

"excuse me? did you know anything about this?" Minjeong grew impatient.

"how many times do I have to tell you. I know everything, Jimin." Minjeong tried to be as calm as possible.

"then do you know who's Dongwook?"

Minjeong got taken aback. Of course, she knows.

"even if I know, I won't tell you." Minjeong teased her. "what else did you know?"

"my dad used to kill for money." Jimin let her walls down brick by brick. "I don't know what else he hid from me."

Minjeong stood up and went behind Jimin. She put both of her hand on her shoulder and leaned down.

"do you know why I hate liars?" Minjeong said to her ears. "people will die when you lie, Karina."

"do you wanna kill my dad?" Jimin looked up behind her.

"which one?" Minjeong smirked. "you should be more specific."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"seems like there's more thing you need to know." Minjeong patted her head. "let me help you."

"and why should I trust you?"

"I don't need you trust me. you just need to see."

-

Minjeong visited Jimin's house at night.

"what do you want?" Jiho didn't open the door fully.

"c'mon let me in." Minjeong pushed the door open.

Minjeong sat on the rustic couch and make herself comfortable.

"any news?" Minjeong asked.

"Venice. He bought a mansion there." Jiho showed her the file.

"did Jimin said anything to you?"

"no nothing." Jiho thought.

"you're so stupid, you know that?" Minjeong chuckled. "you better tell her the truth... or should I tell her?"

"can you leave her out of this? I know you like her."

"like? In what terms?" Minjeong held her chin. "she fights back when I tortured her. she's also pretty and lovely."

"you what?"

"I tortured her." Minjeong said coldly.

"you little bitch!" Jiho stood up and launched himself towards her.

"nope. Sit back down." Minjeong quickly pulled out her retractable knife and aimed it to him.

Jiho held back and sat back down.

"did you see any scars on her body?"

"I- I don't know." Jiho replied unsurely.

"look who knows better about her. do you really call yourself her father?" Minjeong put her knife back inside her coat. "I just had a little fun with her."

Minjeong then grabbed the file and stood up.

"Jimin! I know you can hear us! Come out!" Minjeong then bowed to Jiho, still keeping eye contact with him.

After Minjeong left, Jimin came out of her room.

"I can explain, dear." Jiho pleaded.

"I'm disappointed in you." Jimin sat at the spot that Minjeong sat on. "is this why you never told me about my mom?"

"I want to protect you. Minjeong is dangerous. I just wanna keep you safe."

"funny how I trust her more than I trust you." Jimin glared at him.

"you need to trust me on this, Jimin."

"I don't know who to trust anymore." Jimin then left him.
