CHAPTER 14

It's already the 2nd day. Jimin cries out on the cold restroom floor. She didn't know what she did so wrong to make her life so miserable. Everyone is turning against her and there's no one to save her.

"get out." Jimin saw Minjeong standing at the door.

Jimin slowly stood up and walked out of the restroom. She then gathered her stuff so she can go back home.

"who told you to go? Sit." Minjeong sat on her desk, mirrored by Jimin who sat on the couch.

After Minjeong had some talk with Jiho, she needs to do something with Jimin.

"I'm sorry. I got carried away." Minjeong lied. Jimin just scoffed at her. "eat." Minjeong put the paper bag on her desk.

Jimin took the bag and eat what's in it even though she's not hungry anymore.

"it's about time you see your dad." Minjeong's words make Jimin looked up. "he wants to see you. He missed you."

Jimin finally went home. She then greeted by a hug from Jiho.

"oh, thank god you're okay." Jiho pulled away. "did she do anything to you?"

Jimin shook her head. she then ignored him and went straight to her room. she decided to sleep since she couldn't the previous night.

Jimin woken up by a smell of smoke entering her room. she looked at her door and noticed it's opened. She quickly ran outside and saw fire all over her kitchen and living room. a way to her dad's room was still clear so she banged the door to wake him up. She looked outside the window and saw a silhouette of a man running away. The fire started to eat up all of the places she's supposed to go to. Unfortunately, she left her phone on her room which is blocked by the fire.

"get out right now!" Jimin heard a man said. She then felt her arm being pulled by someone.

"my dad is there!" Jimin's words got ignored as she's guided outside.

"we will try to save him. stay here." The fireman said. He and the others went back in.

Jimin cried all over again. Sitting on her knees. Sirens were heard and people from the neighbourhood watched from the distance. She's left alone one again.

Not long after, the firemen came out with her unconscious father. Jimin ran to them as they put him on the palanquin.

"he inhaled too much smoke. We found no pulse." The fireman said.

"do something! Please! Save him!" Jimin pleaded.

Sadly, they couldn't save him. he's gone on the way to the hospital.

Jimin once again visited Hansol late at night. She told him what happened and Hansol managed to calm her down.

"you can stay here for a while." Hansol offered.

"thank you. I will find a place to rent as soon as possible." Jimin smiled and hugged him.

She stayed for a month while looking for a place to live. She continued to work but never see Minjeong in her office.

Today, Hansol took her to the company. as usual, she went straight to the CEO's office.

"good morning." Minjeong greeted her. Jimin didn't reply. "have you find a place to live?"

"not yet."

"I have a spare room in my house. if you want to." Minjeong offered. "oh, don't forget to meet your dad."

"hm..." Jimin replied as she works.
