CHAPTER 29

Minjeong often hung out with Ryujin. This is probably her dozen times having a race with her. mostly, Minjeong wins. Ryujin won over her for a few times including today.

"wow. I'm impressed." Minjeong gave Ryujin a compliment. "you'll be more expert in this than taking care of the company."

"don't worry. I'm a fast learner." Ryujin smirked and put her arm around Minjeong. "you can teach me."

"I thought Taeyeon already taught you about it." Minjeong wondered.

"she's old. Boring. You? you're cool. I like you." Ryujin smiled at her.

A few hours later, Minjeong invited Ryujin to her mansion.

"help yourself." Minjeong sat on the couch and started smoking.

"I have one mansion like this. I forgot where." Ryujin sat on the other side. "can I try those?"

"no." Minjeong guessed that Ryujin wanted to smoke.

Ryujin then took a butterfly knife from the table. Minjeong didn't know it's still there.

"this is cool. Can I keep this?" Ryujin played with it.

"sure." Minjeong didn't think much. It's her favorite knife but she didn't need it anymore.

"nice."

Jimin soon came in. she greeted them both.

"where were you?" Minjeong asked. She noticed that Jimin often times getting home later than usual. "you have work tomorrow and you're always late in the morning. You want me to fire you so you can date with your Mark?" Minjeong didn't know why she's so mad at her.

"what's wrong with you?" Jimin furrowed her eyebrows. "I'm always on time in the morning."

"hey, hey. Calm down. Are you jealous?" Ryujin teased her. "chill out, Jeong. Let her have fun." Ryujin then walked to Jimin and led her to sit with her.

"tell me about him." Ryujin got interested. "did you say Mark? That's his name? I know a Mark. He's a little violent but maybe it's a different Mark."

"it must be a different Mark. He's not violent, he's nice and sweet. I kinda like him." Jimin smiled and blushed while describing him even more.

"you guys can stay here. I'm tired." Minjeong didn't want to hear anything about him so she went upstairs and sleep.

Jin have been watching Mark for about 2 months. Nothing's wrong with him beside some suspicious clubs and business that he did. Jin decided to report that to Minjeong.

"here's the files." Jin put the papers in front of Minjeong. "he's in these clubs and he has other works besides his Mr. Nam's company."

"clubs?" Minjeong further read the files. "this is Ryujin's club. A fight club?"

"I couldn't get any closer to that matter." Jin informed. "other than that, I don't see anything wrong with him."

"I can see that." Minjeong flipped through the pages. "good work. Thank you."

Jin then excused himself.

"hey. What are you doing?" Jimin said after walking down the stairs and sat beside her.

Minjeong quickly tidied up the papers and kept it aside.

"what's that? seems important."

"it is." Minjeong gave her a smile. Seeing Jimin's outfit, Minjeong guessed she'd going somewhere since it's weekend. "you're with Mark?"

"yup." Jimin said excitedly. "he'll be here."

Talk of the devil, Mark knocked on the mansion's door.

"I'll get it." Minjeong rushed to the door and opened it.

She then looked up a little at Mark.

"look. I won't make this romance stuff hard on you guys. I know everything about you. if you dared to hurt Jimin in any way or form, I won't let you live, you heard me?" Minjeong warned him. he didn't seem scared of her.

"hey. Should we go now?" Jimin looked at both of them.

"sure. go ahead and have fun." Minjeong gave them a smile and went back inside.

A week later, Jimin stormed in to Minjeong's room.

"what's wrong?" Minjeong looked at Jimin and closed her laptop.

"what did you say to Mark? Did you threat him?" Jimin said sternly.

"oh. is that why you're mad?" Minjeong stood up and faced her.

"you also spied on him. what is wrong with you?!" Jimin held up the files.

"so you know he's bad and you're defending him?" Minjeong scoffed. "I let you go freely with him already. You're the one that turned him down, remember? Why don't you just marry him instead of wasting your time talking about this with me? if you're so sure of him."

"oh believe me I'm more than sure, now. thank you." Jimin then left her alone.

Jimin went to her room and packed her clothes. Mark asked her to move in with him. after Jimin found out about what Minjeong did, she made up her mind.

The next morning, Jimin left without informing Minjeong.

"I called her a few times already." Minjeong said to Ryujin.

"why are you so worried? He seems nice." Ryujin shrugged.

Minjeong then threw the files about Mark to Ryujin's chest.

"ah... so he's with her." Ryujin looked up after reading it. "he's in my club but in a different branch. He's in north."

"I know, we're in south." Minjeong sighed and continued to call Jimin. "even though it's a different branch, you're still the boss, right?"

"of course."
