CHAPTER 37

Today is the sixth times in three weeks that Han visited Jimin.

"I had a long day." Han plopped down beside Minjeong. "the police found rooms on the house. I don't wanna know what kinda room they are but I'm sure he did something bad there." He informed.

"really?" Minjeong acted surprised like she didn't have a 'room' on her mansion. "damn. That's bad."

"I've been in one." Jimin spoke. All eyes are on her. "you don't wanna know what he did to me there."

"are you sure you're ready to talk about this?" Han made sure.

"I've been scared. I need to be brave for myself." Jimin pressed a smile.

"may I take documentations?" Han asked for her permission.

Jimin nodded slowly, getting nervous and sick remembering what happened to her. she told him about how Mark abused her simply because he's bored. He also get mad easily at simple problems. Jimin showed some of her scars along the story not to forget how Mark sexually assaulted her often times.

"is that all?" Han asked.

"I'm sure you know about the selling part. I guess that's it." Jimin looked down.

"thank you so much, Jimin. This will make him spend his life in prison." Han smiled at her and sat back.

"I'm proud of you." Minjeong complimented her.

"I will still visit you, don't worry." Han spend some time with them for a few hours.

Jimin finally got out of the hospital a week later. Minjeong offered her to see a psychiatrist but she refused. Jimin wanted to go back to work but Minjeong didn't let her.

"I'll check on Yujin. Don't forget to eat." Minjeong said as she fixes her tie.

Jimin got up from the bed and helped her. she helped her fixed the knot on her tie and tidied it up.

This is the second time that Minjeong felt the time stops. She stares down at Jimin, realizing how beautiful she is under morning sun. she then leaned in and...

"that's better. You should go." Jimin gave her a smile and lightly ruffled her hair.

Minjeong came to her senses. Simple things that Jimin did made Minjeong feels things that she never had before. She then smiled at Jimin and went to the company. once she arrived, she saw Yujin typing on the computer.

"seems like you're ready to replace me." Minjeong smirked at Yujin.

Yujin took of her glasses and gave Minjeong a hug.

"it's all good here. You did great. I hope I can maintain it." Yujin scratched her head. "Jin hasn't wake up yet."

"I know. I'll keep an eye on him." Minjeong patted her shoulder. "did I miss anything?"

"no not really. The reports are great." Yujin then smiled shyly. "I have a news."

"Yujin..." Giselle came into the office. "good morning, miss."

"Yujin?" Minjeong raised her eyebrows. "so I'm not the only one dating a worker."

"dating?" Yujin and Giselle said at the same time.

"no- I- I mean- I have a crush on her." Minjeong took a seat on the couch.

"aww..." Yujin cooed her. "you're already thinking about dating her. good for her."

"for her? how long did she wait?" Giselle wondered.

"more than ten years. Isn't that crazy?"

When the works are done, they decided to visit Jin. Once they came in the room, they saw Lia fell asleep beside Jin's bed.

"Lia." Minjeong woke her up. Lia then opened her eyes and sat up.

"hey." Lia greeted.

BEEP.

They heard the machines made some noise. The beeping then went off rapidly. They then panicked as the doctors and nurses asked them to wait outside.

Minjeong came home. She was greeted with Ryujin and Jimin eating together on the dining room.

"come eat with us!" Ryujin waved her hand. Minjeong then walked to them and join them.

"should I be the one doing that?" Minjeong grabbed a plate and served herself some food.

Jimin quickly helped her and put more on her plate. Ryujin noticed this and stopped chewing.

"you don't have to act like we're a couple in front of her." Minjeong said plainly.

"she's just being nice. I know you faked it long time ago." Ryujin continued eating comfortably.

Minjeong saw Jimin's sad face. She suddenly felt anxious. She took a gulp of her drink and wiped her forehead. She then managed to continue eating.

"I'm done. I'll be in the backyard." Ryujin then left them alone.

"I'm sorry." Minjeong spoke and Jimin just hummed. "should I help you clean up?"

"it's okay." Jimin smiled at her.

Minjeong then started stacking the dirty plates and carried it to the kitchen sink. She stared at it for some moments.

"you can't wash dishes?" Jimin furrowed her eyebrows. Minjeong looked at her and shook her head.

"rinse them under the water. Then you take the soap and put it on the sponge." Jimin explained while demonstrating. "here." Minjeong gave her the sponge and took another from the rack.

Minjeong did everything carefully. She's afraid that she'll drop the plate. Jimin noticed that Minjeong paid details on the plates and made sure it's clean.

"you'll finish that next week." Jimin giggled. She then helped Minjeong clean up her stack of plates.

"my mom told me if I don't clean it properly I will get sick and can't go to work." Minjeong's inner child raised to the surface.

"you won't. it will be clean with soap and water." Jimin then finished the dishes.

They then went to Ryujin and saw her smoking while playing with her phone.

"who taught you to smoke?" Minjeong slapped her head. Ryujin then threw the cigarette butt on the ground.

"Yujin..." Ryujin laughed awkwardly. "my mom finally let me handle the company."

"good for you." Minjeong ruffled her hair. "Yujin will be my CEO."

"nice!" Ryujin then stood up and stretched her body. "I'll with the club. You wanna join?"

"I'm good. I'm kinda tired. Take care." Minjeong said then Ryujin left them both.

"the sky is beautiful." Minjeong blurted out.

"it is." Jimin looked up at the moon and looked to the side. Minjeong was already looking at her.

Minjeong didn't hold back anymore and stole a kiss from Jimin.
