As I sat on my bed waiting for Seren, I took the time to sit back and think about our relationship.... there were moments when it seemed like Seren would burn the world down if it meant we could be together; when he would disobey the Alpha just so he could spend some time with me when he'd bring me food to class without me asking when he would stay up late just to watch me do my homework.... Then there was the other side of him where he put his pack before us; like when he brought his brothers to this party on campus and they caused all sorts of trouble, or when I wanna be alone with him and his brothers insist on tagging along..... Maybe I had been disconnected from the pack mindset for too long but The LaVine Pack was...... let's just say they were trouble and Seren seemed to be torn between his heart and his pack. Finally, I heard the shower stop and Seren walked into my bedroom dripping water all over the carpet... normally his naked body would do something to me but today I wasn't phased, I was still pissed about how he tried to pimp me out to his brothers. As Seren got dressed I walked him and I could tell he was in a lot of pain, but he was trying to tough it out because he didn't want to look weak in front of me.

"When are you going back to your apartment?" Seren asked looking at me as he pulled some shorts on. "I'm only asking because I know how your dad feels about me and I know you're brothers don't like me.... I just feel uncomfortable being here."

"Whenever I'm ready... you wanted to talk, so talk.... and the first thing out of your mouth better be a fuckin apology for that bullshyt you tried to pull." I said looking into his eyes.

"I'm not going to apologize for trying to save my own life... I would think my nigga would want to do the same considering if he were in a situation I would do everything in my power to help him out. But I guess one of us cares more about this relationship than the other." Seren said as that vein in his neck started to pop out like it always did whenever he got pissed.

"Nigga, if I didn't give a fuck about you and this relationship you wouldn't be here right now! You'd be single, probably somewhere selling ass trying to come up with the money that you owe your 'brothers'! You got yourself into this situation so don't turn this around on me Seren." I said jumping up.

"You're right.... I'm just.... I'm scared, I'm scared and I'm angry because I put myself into this position and now I'm stressing about how I'm going to get out of it." Seren said quietly as he sat on my bed. "I went to Jahari..... to see if there was any way he could help me out and...... he said he'd be willing to waive my debt if I could convince you to come to a family event.... Wait hear me out.... it's just a cookout, nothing else I promise." Seren said quickly.

"Seren...." I said trying to control my anger. "You know how my dad feels about your pack.... he doesn't trust them and we both know they'll just try to get me to join your pack..... we both know it's a waste of time because I'm not leaving my family." I said looking into his eyes.

"You have my word... Jahari isn't going to try to recruit you, it's just a barbecue that he's throwing for the community. Besides, you've never met Jahari.... or my other brothers you've only met Kodiak and Frost, if we're going to be together I think you should meet my ENTIRE pack.... don't let your opinion of Kodiak and Frost paint the picture for all of us..... just promise you'll think about it." Seren said, pleading with his eyes.

"Tavierre... your father wants to speak with you.... he also wanted me to inform you that it's time for your guest to leave." Azareyah said sitting in the corner of the room, both me and Seren jumped because we didn't realize he was sitting there, it was the middle of the day and he was able to creep up on us without a single sound.... he was a wolf but also something else........

"Who are you?" Seren asked a little rudely, Azareyah stood up and smiled, why the fuck was my heart racing like this? I wonder if Seren could hear it... the craziest part was that it didn't start racing until Azareyah smiled and.....
