I hadn't heard from Uziel in almost a week, normally I would've taken this as a sign that he wasn't interested but I knew he had a lot going on with his dad adopting another son so I could understand him taking a step back. Besides, I was dealing with my own shyt due to my guest.... don't get me wrong, De'Vier and Drake were the perfect houseguests. DeVier, true to his word was on his best behavior, he kept his distance and respected my space... however, there were instances where he tested the limits of my resolve like right now. I was sitting the back deck with Jy'Ayir and DeVier was walking up from the path that led from the woods, he was shirtless, sweat glistening from his body and unless my eyes were deceiving me, I'm pretty sure he was freeballin... Again, I don't believe he was doing this on purpose but I couldn't be sure... if I had one weakness it was him and he knew that fact. I tried to ignore him but it was difficult, especially since Jy'Ayir was openly lusting after Drake, I continued scrolling through my phone as they walked onto the deck... Y'all I was horny and DeVier wasn't making things easy for me as he stood off to the side talking quietly with his cousin.

"We'll be outta your hair tomorrow, the house is finally ready, and honestly... I'm kinda sad that we're leaving." DeVier said walking over to the table.

"I'm not, I'm glad y'all are finally giving me my space." I said playfully. "So when will I be getting the tour?" I asked as he sat in Jy'Ayir's empty seat... I noticed Jy and Drake slipping into the house as if we weren't going to notice their absence.

"Soon, we got some business to handle before we can really get settled in." DeVier said and before I could question him further he volunteered the information. "Umm... before we came here we spoke with Rhyan.... he introduced us to his Seer and gave us a few things to figure out '"Four flames. Twins sacrifice. Prince's Choice. Witch's Curse. Not much to go on so we were hoping Rhyan's brother might point us in the right direction." DeVier said.

"Seers never talk straight... you should talk to Blair as well, he's really good at riddles. So how long do you think they'll be?" I asked pointing to the house, DeVier shook his head and I knew that meant we were in for a long day. "Well, I'm not trying to stay here all damn day listening to Jy'Ayir moaning and screaming... You wanna get outta here?" I asked and DeVier shrugged. "Okay well take a shower first, you smell like outside...." I said getting up and leaving him at the table, I did it to protect his innocence because the way I was feeling I was about to let him fuck me on this table.

Let me be clear, this wasn't a date... we were just two friends enjoying a nice day. DeVier seemed to think it was more than though, insisting on paying for EVERYTHING from the ice cream we ate by the lake to a pair of shoes I mentioned liking in an offhanded comment.

"Ayy look this is the first time I've actually been able to shop for myself.... It's exciting." DeVier said and I'll admit it was an experience I had to learn when I first arrived. "It's so freeing, being able to do what I want without being surrounded by a million security guards."

"Trust me, Blair is somewhere close by, I wouldn't be surprised if some of your security are watching from a distance... So what do you think the Seer was talking about, knowing you as well as I do, I'm pretty sure you have a few theories." I said finding a park bench and taking a seat.

"The Twin's sacrifice part could be about you... though I wouldn't dwell on it, you've never been the type." DeVier said and I shrugged, there weren't too many people that I would sacrifice myself for but I also knew that allowing myself to overthink those words could drive me crazy. "So who is he?" DeVier asked and I was caught off guard by his question. "Come on Gem, you've been checking your phone every few minutes..." DeVier said smiling.
