I've been noticing a lot of changes that were happening, over the last few days my father has been quickly removing any and everyone who was loyal to my grandmother and replacing them with his own 'yes men'. The security team was being replaced with dudes who would take a bullet for my father and while that may seem normal for royals, I'm almost certain that they would kill me if he asked and that made me nervous because I knew we didn't have the best relationship. The boldest move was how he started moving his stuff out of the Prince's Palace and started having it brought to the Royal Palace, even going as far as to tell Germain that he should head over to the Prince's Palace and start making decisions on how he wanted to decorate. That's where we were now; Germain, myself, and our cousins Emeka and Izien, two of the biggest haters I had ever met, these dude were beyond annoying and the definition of pampered. Genova begged to come but my stepmother insisted that she stay behind to get ready for some dinner where she'd formally meet the dude she was marrying and Germain would meet the woman who was to be his wife.... again thank God, my dad hated me because I could only imagine who he'd try to set me up with. My thoughts drifted to Uziel and the conversation we had earlier and how deep the conversation had got, I really couldn't wait until I got back and see if these conversations flowed the same in person... I should've been paying attention because I felt like my insides were melting as I was hit in the stomach with a fireball.........

"You must got dick on the brain." My cousin Emeka said walking over to me and offering me his hand, while the healers ran over to make sure I was fine. "Seriously Gemini? We're in the middle of a sparring match and you let your guard down during most of the match.... I guess America has made you soft." Emeka said while his twin brother Izien looked on with a grin. They've always been some haters, jealous of the fact that I was a natural elementalist... able to create elements out of nothing while they weren't. Emeka had pryokinesis, while Izien had hydrokinesis... cool I guess but it's nothing compared to being able to create and control five different elements.

"Aight I've seen enough...." Germain said walking down the stairs with Blair, and Germain's mentor Faith. "Gemini you do look a little soft out there... what's going on with you? There was a time where you could beat these dudes blindfolded and now you seem timid...." Germain whispered while I glanced over at Blair, wondering what he thought about my performance.

"Sorry Main, I was just thinking about something Grandma said.... plus there's that dinner tonight; you know DeVier is going to be there and you know how I get around him." I lied though now that the thought was in my head I thought about my last encounter with DeVier. "Next round I'll be more focused.... you finished with the decorations?" I asked wondering why he wasn't inside.

"I haven't even started.... I honestly don't wanna move in here, you want it?" Germain asked smiling because he knew our dad would never go for it, The Prince's Palace was for the crown prince and that was Germain... hell he would give it to Gaige before he let me live here. "Ayy look...." I said pointing to Emeka flirting with Faith, and by flirting I mean borderline harassment because Faith had no interest in Emeka.

"Those two....." Germain said shaking his head. "It's bad enough that Izien has been spending a lot of time in Oleria trying to get close to DeVier.... now Emeka is trying to steal my mentor." Germain said and this beast inside of me raised its head at that comment. "It's nothing you know DeVier isn't checking for him...." Germain said reading my face.

"How's your training going?" I asked wanting to change the subject before Izien got hit with a lightning bolt strong enough to light up Las Vegas.

"We've progressed to small mammals, though the results are.... varied." Germain said grabbing a strawberry off of a passing tray and turning it over in his hand, I watched in awe as the strawberry aged to a blackened, moldy shell the turned back into baby strawberry, then finally back into the ripe strawberry that he had picked off the tray. "Chronokinesis... the ability to control time.... They say it's only happened twice before, the last time being Germain the Third and it only manifests itself in times of great strife.... I just hope this isn't the case." Germain said and I could tell something was bothering him.
