One thing Diedre knew looking at the letter in his hand was that his life was shitty. And there was a sudden knocking on the door, frantic.
Diedre, who had melted into the couch quickly got up before any of the workers of this house tried to open it and find somebody mythological standing in front of them.
So with his rush, he quickly opened the door and standing in front of him was Grover Underwood in all his satyr glory, wet with Percy Jackson on his side. Without any words, Doedre was dragged outside and he prayed that his mom would explain everything to the workers in the mansion.
And hence commenced Grover's ramblings when he got nervous and his super bad explanation paired off with Percy's comments which usually did not make any sense.
Diedre who knew all these from reading the books just laid down and rested on the glass beside him when he heard a sudden shout and his shoulders were held as Percy shook him as hard as he could and said, "Dee, you really don't have any questions! No questions! Like how suddenly our best friend is a goat-boy and mom is driving us off to a camp!"
Well, Diedre couldn't just tell Percy that, 'Hey, so you're this character from a book I read and I really know what's going to happen, so why should I have any questions!' So Diedre did the most logical thing and said, "I got a letter from Mum today, explaining that I'll be picked off by a Satyr today and moved off to a summer ca-"
Before he could finish his sentence a blinding flash was seen and a loud boom was heard before the car tipped over.
The Minotaur had finally arrived.

Diedre remembered feeling weightless and then crashing all over again into the road. He remembered Grover's bleats of terror and Sally Jackson's shout of boys before he lost consciousness for a while.
When he returned to the land of the living, Percy was still unconscious with Grover. So he got out of the car, and dragged Sally out of the car who thanked him before he heard a shout of 'Dee' and then a frantic 'Grover' who then bleated out 'food'.
Bless Diedre for not banging his head onto the road just because of that but he did his best to drag both of them out with some help from Sally and when he did succeed, he gave out a yelp of joy.
"Boys, you have run," Sally said, holding Diedre's hands and silently asking him to take Percy and Grover along with him.
But strangely he couldn't.
If it had been even three years back, he would've run off without any hesitation, dragging both Percy and Grover along with him because he knew Sally needed to get captured so that Percy goes on his first quest.
But he didn't, because they had grown on him. With Percy going behind him like a little puppy, Sally offers him blue cookies and Grover's ramblings.
It all grew on him.
So before Percy could shout incredulously, Diedre said, "We are not leaving you here. You are going with us."
Before she could protest Percy butted in and said, "Dee is right. You need to come with us."
And with that, the four of them continued their trek to the camp. Diedre knew that saving Sally Jackson would impact the story way too much so he had to let her get captured.
But at least he could give an effort to save her, y'know.
Together, they draped Grover's arms over their shoulders and started stumbling uphill through wet waist-high grass.
Glancing back, Diedre got my first clear look at the monster. He was seven feet tall, easy, his arms and legs like something from the cover of Muscle Man magazine – bulging biceps and triceps and a bunch of other 'ceps, all stuffed like baseballs under vein-webbed skin. He wore no clothes except underwear – he meant, bright white Fruit-of-the-Looms, which would've been funny except for the top half of his body. Coarse brown hair started at about his belly button and got thicker as it reached his shoulders.
