The pages turn as the story comes to an end. Only one last book till the first 5 book finishes, Diedre thinks, drinking his Blue Lagoon leisurely.
Just a few more pages of loss and deaths that he needed to prevent as far as he could. He thinks of the fact that this was the first book he had bought for the series.
A sense of nostalgia enters his mind when he thinks of that.
Did he miss the times when he could just binge-read these series for fun and not use his knowledge to save lives? Yes.
But would he exchange this for the world? No.
It just saddened him that nowadays, Theo and Yash had seemed to start to treat him more cautiously. Like he was a piece of porcelain that would break if they treated it too harshly, but also maybe it was because of the glares he often noticed his friends passing them.
But it was okay, they could take their time to come back to him, just like he had.
When a boy reads a novel, isn't overpowered when he transmigrates but he does have an aim.
To protect all those he loves.
And he would do anything for it.
And even if it's his sanity he needs to sacrifice, he is ready to give it.
