Diedre promises himself that he is not a petty person.
But he knew that he was lying because even with his toughest game on, he still was on with his game of 'Avoiding his cabin members'.
Not that it was hard because Lee had seemingly forgotten about their fight as he continued to argue with the Ares cabin on the issue of the chariot but this also had a plus point to it-he could think a bit quietly.
There was one thing that Camp Half-Blood lacked in it was peace, of course along with the obvious security mishaps.
So Diedre climbed onto a tree and sat there on some sturdy branches. He took his record-only phone to watch some recently aired episodes. God, he had missed being obsessed over a single show. He stopped for a moment, didn't he mean to plan now for the future?
Well, shoved those thoughts in a dark corner and made himself comfortable on the branch as he put his headphones in his ears and put his fingers on the resume button. Well, those thoughts can be future Diedre's problems. Right now, he has to finish watching the episodes.

It wasn't until it was too dark that Diedre noticed that he was a goner.
He finished the drama, wiping a few drops of tears of happiness from his eyes as he jumped down. It was only then he could hear faint shouts of his name from the other end of the clearing. He quickly put the device and headphones away as he jogged towards the noise. There he found Percy shouting his name.
Diedre shook his shoulders, asking, "What are you shouting my name for?"
Percy stood rigid in his place and then turned around with a look in his eyes, "What time is it now Dee?"
Diedre habitually tried to check his wrist but when he found nothing on it, he looked up and said, "Nope, what's the time though?"
Percy took a deep breath in and said, "Dee, you have been missing for about 6 hours now and how many more before the Apollo Cabin informed us."
For the first time in a while, Diedre took the surroundings in. He noticed it was pitch dark with the stars glittering. If he looked closely enough, he could see Zoë's constellation lighting up a darker corner.
Wait, that meant he had spent an entire day watching the show? It didn't even feel that long. Then he remembered bigger problems, an angry Percy was waiting for him in front of him.
"Wait, Perce. Don't hurt me," Diedre begged for his life.
"What do you mean by don't hurt me, huh? Aren't you a little fucker who had no self-preservation? Come back willingly before I start pulling you by your ears." Percy said.
Diedre sulked as he was half-dragged by Percy to a furious Annabeth, Kayla, Austin and Will by whom he got other earfuls.

On normal days, Diedre doesn't want his brain to work out. It does enough as it is. With the ongoing fight between Ares and Apollo Cabin, his cabin usually stayed empty, after he had thrown up hands, not willing to fight.
Some of his siblings followed his lead as they quietly moved away from the fight and towards the shadows of the infirmary and the archery range. It was only due to a few of his siblings like Michael and Lee that Ares's cabin was still cursing at him.
He sat on his bed and took the small notebook out of his bag where he had written the smaller, finer details of the novel when it was still fresh in his mind. He flipped to the pages he needed and scanned it for any requirement.
