As the sun broke through the morning clouds, you stood before the towering gates of UA High School, a mixture of excitement and nervousness coursing through your veins. It was your first day as a transfer student at your dream school!
Your journey here had been anything but straightforward; you had initially been destined for Ketsubutsu Academy High School, much to your disappointment. It isn't that you hated the school - more like it wasn't what you were set on. However, your time at Ketsubutsu proved very useful! The teachers there even wrote some stellar recommendations that got you transferred to UA.
Talk about Plus Ultra. You think to yourself. As you approached the entrance, the weight of your decision to transfer settled in. You just got here - everyone else has already clicked!
This can get really awkward... You make your way to your class.
It's alright! I just gotta make a good impression! I do that and I'll click with their clicks in no time! You think to yourself.
As you eventually arrive at your class you reach towards the door's handle, but a stern voice interrupts your thoughts."That being said, we have a permanent guest joining Class 1A." The voice belonged to Eraser Head, the pro-hero known for his Quirk that nullifies other quirks. He glanced in your direction, his steely gaze piercing through the window in the door, as he motions at you with his fingers in a back and forth pattern.
"I guess that's my cue!"
You grasp the doorknob, turn it, and enter the classroom. You make your way to the front of the class and take a deep breath.
"Good Morning! I'm F/N, L/N [First Name, Last Name]. Pleasure being here with you all." You introduced yourself, trying to maintain an air of confidence despite the whirlwind of emotions inside.
Whispers and murmurs spread among your new classmates:
"They're not that bad looking..."
"I didn't even know UA did transfers to the hero course... Let alone so late."
"Their quirk must be something else..."
"I'm tired of all these DAMN EXTRAS!"
"Relax man, they could be pretty strong. A new sparring partner could be just what we need!"
Eraser Head's stern gaze silences the room in an instant.
"Wow, this isn't exactly how I imagined it." You take in the curious stares from your new peers.
"We've prepared a desk for you over there, next to Izuku Midoriya. Raise your hand, Midoriya, so they know where to sit," Eraser Head instructed.
"Yes sir!" Midoriya exclaims, shooting his hand into the air.
Seeing your chance to impress you decide to show off your Quirk. You focus on the desk next to Midoriya, and in a blink of an eye, you're sitting beside a student raising his hand to no one.
The entire class erupts in amazement.
F/N, L/N! Their Quirk is Quick Port. They can quickly transport themselves to any location in an instant. However they need to either have a point to focus on or a vivid image of the location to do so. The prolonged use of this quirk can result in exhaustion, leading to them becoming less accurate as they tire.
"Nice trick. Want to see mine?"
You see Eraser Head glare at you with his eyes glowing red.
"You're new, so I'll let it slide for now. But, for future reference, quirk use is prohibited unless otherwise told," Eraser Head warns.
"Yes sir! It won't happen again!" You say, a little shaken.
"Anyway, that's the only pressing information as far as announcements goes. Let's continue with class!"
"Right!" Everyone yells.
RING!
"Hey, L/N! Your Quirk is really cool! It looks like some kind of teleportation quirk. Do you mind explaining how it works?" Midoriya asks eagerly.
"I mean, it's not anything too complicated." You let out a charming yet nervous laugh while lifting one of your hands behind your head.
"Midoriya! You can't just go around asking others about their quirks! That's rude! They probably hardly settled in yet." A student with abnormally stiff arms scolds Midoriya.
"Oh I'm sorry!" Midoriya bursts out of his seat and bows apologetically. "I didn't even consider that! Has your transfer gone well credit wise, or are you behind on material?"
"Oh, no it's alright. I'm pretty sure I'm where you all are on the material; although, that doesn't make it any less confusing." You assure him. "And don't worry about it, I can tell you more about my quirk if you really want."
"YOU MEAN IT!" Midoriya yells in excitement.
"By the way, I'm Iida. You already met Midoriya. As class president, I would like to personally welcome you to class 1-A with open arms!" He strikes an upright pose with his hands extended forward toward you.
You shake both of his hands, feeling that was the most appropriate response.
"Thanks!" You reply with a smile.
Well, these two are lively... You think to yourself.
Suddenly a girl cuts in. "And I'm Uraraka! Sorry, I couldn't help but hear you all talking. I'd also like to learn more about your Quirk if that's okay with you?!"
Grrrrrrrrr!
You look around, searching for the cause of the sound before realizing that it was Uraraka."Yeah, sorry. I'm afraid I might actually be too hungry for that conversation right now." She pouts.
"Now that you mentioned it, I too am hungry." Iida chimes in.
"Yeah, I kinda overslept today so I had to skip breakfast. Guess I pushed it a little too hard in training yesterday." Midoriya laughs.
You take a look at Uraraka again, a faint feeling of recognition tugging at your memory. There's something oddly familiar about her, though you can't quite place it. Maybe you've seen her around before? Not at UA—this feels like a different kind of familiarity, like from a place closer to home.
Nah, this has to be a coincidence. You shake off the thought.
"OH! I heard of this nice Pancake place that's not far from here. I've been dying to try it. We can eat there!" Uraraka suggests.
"A splendid idea! L/N, care to tag along? Once we get there we can talk more about your quirk!" Iida proposes.
You agree to join them, grateful for the warm welcome and newfound friends. It seems that UA is already shaping up to be everything you had ever imagined. Your first day is off to an exciting start, and you can't wait to see what the future holds.
