Manipulation of time and word usage has gone on for millennia at this point.

The Egyptians had gods for each part of the day, Amen, is the god invoked as the sun sets and covers everything in darkness.

Now do you wonder why folks were taught to say Amen at the end of each prayer, request or to agree with something that moved you or the spirit in you?

This may also be a reference to Am-heh, listed as a 'dangerous god of the underworld'. I haven't researched him yet, but he's on my list now.

Why not say Aten - Into the Light Go?  LAIC, and I begin to wonder.
