Jade had about two cornrows left to do in Tarone's hair when her Aunt May rang her. May sounded extremely frantic, it had Jade very worried. "Aunty, Aunty, calm dung and talk to me."

"Jade! Yu can get Juney, please?!" The woman insisted for the second time.

Tarone turned to look at his girlfriend who was becoming distressed. He rubbed her legs and mouthed to her, "Wa happen?"

Jade shrugged. "Weh June deh?"

"Juney run gone a Claremont wid waa kitchen knife, bout she have enough!" May took a deep breath and hollered, "Massa God!" She choked on a sob. "Ah think me pressure ago tek me!"

Jade sprang to her feet, telling Tarone to quickly grab his car keys. While they drove out from their home in Davis Town, Jade tried to alleviate her Aunt's worries. "Me ago get her right now, Aunty. Alright?" The only answer to Jade's statement was the quick, deep breaths of the woman. "Weh Zach?"

"Him deh ya wid me."

"Arite, Aunty," Jade said again. "Go drink some water. June will arite." She hung the phone up, desperately hoping what she said was true. Her cousin had deeply-rooted anger issues towards the Beckham family ever since they sent her to prison. Though Jade knew within herself that June never acted out on the anger - for she wanted things to be done the 'right' way: through the very law that had failed her - Jade felt great unease at what might have finally caused her cousin to snap.

Arriving at Claremont, Jade jumped out of the car before Tarone could put it in park. She made haste into the Beckham's yard, up their stairs, and through the front door that was barely hanging onto its hinges. Jade gasped when she saw the scene before her: Odane was restraining a growling June, Mr. Rupert Beckham was shielding an angry Heidi.

"Calm down!" Rupert insisted to Heidi.

"Let mi go!" June barked, struggling to get free from Odane's tight grip.

"Let her go!" Heidi instigated. "Let her go so that ghetto fowl can hit me!"

Jade took a step forward. "Wa yu just seh to mi cousin, ole gyal?"

Tarone quickly grabbed his girlfriend. "Easy yourself." he said to her. "Ano your war dis."

Jade hissed her teeth and grudgingly listened to her boyfriend.

June was yelling again, "Listen to yu crosses mother cause me ago murder her!"

Odane tightened his grip around her arms. He was amazed by her strength. "June, yu cya seh dat! How yufi waa kill mi mother?"

June stopped struggling to glare at Odane. "Wa you think me shuda do?" she spat. "Mi have enough a you and this rass family!" Calling on the remainder of her strength, June broke free from Odane's arms. She ran over to Rupert and skillfully ducked beneath his arms. June jumped atop Heidi and brought them both to the floor. Curling her right hand into a tight fist, June pummeled the woman's face until three sets of male hands were pulling her off the old woman. The moment reminded her of prison. . .

The men pulled a frailing June out of the house, leaving a stunned Heidi in the house. "I gon call the police!" The fuming woman threatened, holding her nose that was bleeding.

"Dweet nuh, dweet! See if mi nuh help June thump out e rest a yu teeth dem!" Jade hissed her teeth and went outside to her cousin. She interrupted whatever argument June was having with her child's father, "June. Yu arite?"

June narrowed her eyes as she watched Odane and Rupert go back into the house. She looked over at Tarone who was silently twirling a strand of grass. "Mi arite," she stated, looking back to her cousin. "Heidi file restraining order against me boh how me nufi come within six-hundred-feet of she and this house like seh ano yaso me pickney live with ar."
