Leaving the Cross' residence, June frustratingly sighed as her call to Kellon went unanswered again. She'd been calling him all morning to no avail. She even called Adrian and got the same result. She was becoming worried. Had something happened to him?
Closing the door behind her, June bumped into Leilani.
"Leilani," she brightly smiled, temporarily forgetting her worries about the man who was MIA. "Long time no see."
"Naa tell yu?"
"How've you been?"
"Great!" she gushed. "Been busy wid dancing and-" she lowered her voice to say, "Ashanti."
June smiled, it was good to know their relationship was still going well.
"Yaa leave now?" the other woman asked.
June nodded. "Yea, me just done finalize things with yu father."
"Really?" she squealed. "Mi so happy fi yu!"
"I am too," June smiled. She'd been at this residence since noon. Greg had notified her that the Beckhams would be answering the court summons, and he needed to go over procedures with her. Things were looking up for her. She wanted to share the good news with Kellon, but he'd been off the grid since he checked on her this morning. "Yu know weh yu bredda deh?"
Leilani nodded. "Yea, him deh a the new house him buy."
"Buy?" June raised a brow. It wasn't like Kellon to buy a house, he preferred to exercise his talent and make one for himself. June became curious to see it. "Weh it deh?"
Leilani gave her the address and June went off.
Arriving at the house, June admired its exterior. It was a beauty - a dark-blue painted one storey with one of the greenest lawns June had ever seen. A bit smaller than Kellon would have preferred, but a nice dwelling all the same. There was a small driveway, and June spotted Kellon's Trackhawk parked on it.
A weight was lifted off her shoulder at the sight. He was okay.
June opened the gate and entered the yard, wearily looking around in case there was a dog or something more vicious.
Walking up to the door, she was about to knock when a very distinct sound had her pausing.

Trying the door, she was pleasantly surprised that the door was opened. The more steps she took into the house, the more her heart stung and tears threatened to fall. She believed that her ears were playing a sick joke on her. . . but she'd recognize the sound of that throaty groan and deep voice anywhere. And for the woman. . . June caught just a glance of platinum blonde hair that sent her stomach churning.
Turning to the side, all that she'd ate came out in a watery clump. She was disgusted and sick to her stomach. She wasn't even hurt nor surprised. She was simply disgusted and so, so done.
