"We're here" Derek smiled as he parked his car on Meredith's porch
"Let's get inside so I can warm up some food for us" She struggled to get out of the car
"Let me prepare some food, I'll take care of it. I just have to fix some pajamas so I may stop at my house after dinner" Derek explained
"I still have some of your old clothes" Meredith quietly said "I wore your shirts when I was pregnant"
"Thanks" Derek smiled softly. Internally he was so happy she still had some of his clothes. He helped the dog out of the car and gave the leash to Meredith "Poppy, take mommy inside" Derek ordered and helped his daughter out if the car and carried all the stuff inside
"Come on Ellie, let's sit down" Meredith walked towards the couch
"No no. It's a stay in bed day" Derek put the stuff down and walked her towards the bedroom
"Derek-" She wanted to stop him
"Nope. I'm gonna spoil the three ladies" Derek smirked and smiled at Poppy as well
"Derek, you really don't have to do that" Meredith smiled sadly
"Just- Just wait" Derek nodded and left the room
"Mommy, can we watch a movie?" Ellis asked
"Of course" Meredith nodded and watched as Ellis grabbed the remote
Meredith got out out of the bed to take off Poppy's harness and lowered herself
"Would you like-" Derek walked in "Mer" He sighed
"I had to take off her leash!" Meredith started and wanted to push herself back on her feet but couldn't
"Wait!" Derek immediately ran over and helped her in the bed "You're lucky Bailey didn't admit you, don't jinx it" Derek said
"I can't sit here and do nothing" Meredith sighed

After dinner Derek started her on the IV. He hung the bag up and inserted the needle into Meredith's arm
"Okay doctor Grey-Shepherd, can you give me some gauze?" Derek asked
"Here you go Dr Shepherd" Ellis handed the gauze to her dad
"You're a very good doctor" Meredith smiled as Ellis helped her dad until she felt a familiar pain in her stomach "Oh-" She gasped and grabbed her stomach
"Okay, I'll bring you to the bathroom" Derek said and placed her on the toilet before leaving. He heard her sobbing in pain and was glad Poppy followed her everywhere
He knew she had these bowel issues for a long time now, it was something she dealt with ever since they lived together
"Mer, are you okay?" He knocked after a couple of minutes
"Almost done" He heard her groan
"I'm here if you need me" Derek reminded her
I-I'm done" Meredith whimpered after a couple of minutes. He heard the flushing but she didn't come out
"Mer?" Derek frowned
"Just- A minute" She replied but the truth was she was too tired to get up so he got in and carried her back to the bed
"Lay down and rest" Derek tucked her in with the blanket and heard the loud noises her stomach was making "And calm down" He rubbed her stomach carefully, he used to do this all the time when they were still together
"So tired" She groaned as she clutched her pillow
"Sleep, I got Ellie" He assured her
"Ellie-" Meredith fighted the sleep and felt her daughter cuddling deeper into her arms and eventually fell asleep within seconds
"Do you need anything Ellie?" Derek asked her after a couple of minutes
"No daddy. I'm sleepy" The little girl yawned
"Well go sleep with mommy. I'll go clean up the kitchen, yell if you need me. Night night princess" He kissed Ellis' forehead
"Night daddy. Watch mommy carefully" Ellis reminded him and fell asleep
"I will" Derek promised and walked towards the kitchen where he started cleaning up the stuff he used to make dinner. He then let Poppy out in the garden and played with her for a couple of minutes and let her back inside after brushing her quickly
He checked Meredith's IV and changed it as he saw it was almost empty
He was careful to not hurt her. He hated seeing her in pain and he knew she was in pain too often to his own liking
"Night night girls" He smiled sadly at Meredith, Ellis and Poppy. He hated that he was missing out on this. He grabbed a few pillows and a blanket and installed himself onto the couch where he fell asleep right away
I'm gonna try to update some of my other stories one of these days but I have two essays that need to be signed in in 4.5 hours and I've been having headaches since this weekend again which are slowing me down on writing! But I'm off tomorrow and I'll just punish myself, first my dishes then writing hahaha
Or is there someone who please wants to do them. I only eat with spoons now bcs its the only clean thing left my kitchen :p
