Wakasa's PoV :
I was waiting for Y/N to come to the place we train at, a warehouse. But today we have guests. The kids who wanted to see us train, that being Senju, Sanzu, Mikey, Hinari, Baji, Emma and.... Shinichiro. I know he isn't a child but whatever stuttering reason he had for coming here, I paid it no mind.
We all sat there, the kids talking and laughing about something, but Sanzu stayed silent. Ever since that incident, he has changed.
I and Shinichiro talked about some things when she came along with her sister Ara who was holding a notebook and showing something to Y/N, the two frowning deeply, a tensed expression on their faces.
But more than that, what caught our attention was Y/N's blood red eys. Her cheeks were also red and swollen. There were many cuts on her hands and face as well. She was even limping a little, but was definitely trying not to show it.
I can hear everyone gasp loudly at the sight. The kids ran towards her, gaining her attention. "What happened to you?" They asked in unison while Emma and Senju were tugging at her shirt. Hinari and Sanzu stood there silently with a worried expression.
But she looked at me and shook her head, a silent conversation passing between us. I nodded in return while Shinichiro looked at us in confusion.
"Well kids, she might have gotten into a fight. Leave her be."
But more than me, the kids paid attention to a screaming voice in a distance and the loud thumping of foot.
Confused, all of us looked towards the door and saw none other than Oshiko walking towards us with an angry expression.
"Y/N you goddamn idiot! How many times to I have to tell you to wait! Come back here this instant!"
Y/N let out an 'eek' and hid behind Ara who was laughing nervously. "There there Oshiko, please calm down."
Oshiko had bandages in her hands, her face red with anger. She pulled Y/N with her outside the warehouse and all of us looked at each other in confusion.
"Ara nee-san, what happened to Y/N-nee?" Mikey asked, looking distressed. Hinari, who stood behind him while holding the hem of his tee, also nodded. The other kids however were busy laughing.
"Nothing to worry about. She's alright, just had a small accident." She said while smiling awkwardly.
Shinichiro sighed, understanding the situation. "Come on kids, sit quiet. I'm sure she's alright."
Moments later, Y/N and Oshiko came back inside with Oshiko still looking angry and Y/N who had an apologetic look, her wounds now bandaged.
"Sorry to make you all wait. This girl here just won't stop pestering me." Y/N said with a sigh making Oshiko pinch her side. Y/N yelped and glared at Oshiko who looked away with a nonchalant expression.
"Y/N I don't think we should train today, considering your... condition." I looked at everyone who nodded at my statement except for Ara and Oshiko who sighed.
"No." Now I know why they sighed.
"Y/N come on. Don't be so stubborn." Shin said while while patting her shoulders. She deadpanned at him making him back away.
I sighed. "Alright. But today we'll train only for one hour instead of three."
"No can do. I need to become stronger, no matter what." She said while taking the notebook from Ara. "Let's make it two if that's what you want." She continued.
"Alright."
She looked up from her notebook and looked at Hinari. The poor kid sweat dropped at the look Y/N was giving her. Looking away, Y/N gave the note book back to Ara and whispered something to her and Oshiko. They nodded and took their leave.
What's going on?
The rest took their seats as we started sparing. Y/N was a little wobbly on her feet and that was understandable, but her punches and kicks have improved a lot. I fear she might surpass me, just like I think Senju would.
Hinari and Baji who train with Mikey are already quiet strong. Sanzu is quiet tough as well but cannot be compared to these kids in strength. Of course they're all stronger than Shinichiro.
Y/N tried to punch me in the stomach. I dodged the attack as she jumped to kick me. Though she landed the kick, it did little harm to me. Just as she landed on the ground, she lost her balance because of her weak legs and fell down.
She groaned in frustration. "Damn that old man." I heard her mumble. So this was done by her father huh. Or maybe not. I mean why would a father do this to their own daughter. I'm probably wrong.
She stood up and took stance. "Let's stop this."
"No!" I sighed and kicked her before she could even do anything, making her fall again.
"Come on Y/N. This will do you no good." She stood up again, though she looked really weak.
"No, you don't understand. I cannot fall behind." She said with desperation, probably forgetting that there are more people than just the two of us.
"Y/N, there is no way you can improve like this. You need to rest right now."
She almost had tears in ger eyes. "No. I'm still weak. Maybe not physically but I'm still so weak. I-I couldn't do anything." She mumbled under her breath. It was barely audible to me so I guess the others couldn't hear it.
They probably came here expecting a great sparring session. They would have if it wasn't for Y/N's condition. But I guess no one is to blame here.
I am still confused about what is happening in her life. What exactly is she going through?
"Y/N, I promise I will increase our training after you heal properly." She nodded and without meeting my eye, walked away towards the rest of the group.
She looked at Mikey and then at Sanzu. She gave an apologetic look to the latter who blushed in confusion. She ruffled his hair and smiled. Though it was a very small smile. Then she had the same neutral look on her face.
She looked at Mikey though there was no adoration in her looks. Just what is going through her head. Mikey gulped and smiled making her sigh. She smiled back and took the water bottle Shinichiro was passing her.
She sat down between Hinari and Emma, talking to them all, asking them about their day and stuff.
After some time, Ara came to call Y/N. She said her goodbye and went away.
"Today was honestly a very confusing day." Shinichiro said with furrowed eyebrows. "Did you seen the look she gave the kids?"
I hummed. "We know little to nothing about her. We can only guess what's going on in her life."
The two of us looked back at the kids who were playing together. Mikey and Baji were running around trying to catch the rest of the kids.
Such an odd day.

Sorry if the business event chap was a little anti-climatic. But we will be meeting Hima soon. I guess you guys wanted to see y/n work a little more in the even but I've been feeling a lot less motivated these days. I promise to make the next chaps more interesting.
