Uther woke up the next morning to the sound of someone knocking on his door. It was about nine in the morning, and even though he'd been up until eleven the night before, he wasn't tired at all. It was as if he had slept for days. "Come in!" he yelled. The same Tavern Maid from earlier came in, holding a trey of food. "Good Morning" he propped himself up on his elbows, looking at her as she placed the tray down beside his bed. The maid blushed and started for the door. "Wait a minute..." he said, feeling guilty all of the sudden. The girl turned back around to face him, her cheeks bright red in a blush. "I just wanted to give you a few rupees... for your trouble" he brought out ten rupees and handed it to her. "Thank you m'lord" she whispered, putting them in her pocket quickly. "No need for that, I'm a farmer, not a lord"

Princess Celeste and Prince Arthur (the son and daughter of the king and queen) loved to remind him of that.

"But... you have so much money..." the girl insisted, a little embarrassed at her own fault. "Oh... my parents are relatively wealthy, but we're just simple farmers. What about you?" She seemed surprised when he asked this. "I... um... my parents are... dead..." His face fell. "Oh my gosh... I'm sorry I didn't" she shook her head, forcing a smile. "It's fine m'lord, thank you for the rupees"

"You don't need to call me m'lord... I already told you I'm a farmer" Uther insisted, blushing a bit. "I know but... it seemed fitting" with that, she made her way out of the room, only to scream. Uther jumped to his feet, the captain's sword and the ranch hand's shield in his hands as he slipped his boots on and made his way out to the hallway. Outside, there were three people, all dressed in red tight suits with upside down Sheikah Symbols on the masks over their faces. "Who are you?" he asked, holding his sword at the ready as one held a curved sword to the Tavern Maids throat. Screaming came from the main lobby, but Uther couldn't go anywhere.

"Where is the Hero of Time?"

"Why do you want to know?"

"Where is he?" the one with the sword to her throat moved it closer to her neck, drawing blood. "Let her go... she's innocent, I can bring you to the Heroes of Hyrule, but let this inn... this village go" his hands started to shake, but didn't dare drop the sword. "Are you sure about that? Where are they then?" snarled another, moving its sword towards him. "I... um... I..." the sword moved faster than he could have thought, and with a deafening scream, the girl fell to the ground, dead. Uther almost dropped his sword, and looked up with tears and malice in his eyes. "NO!" he cried, a little to late. She was already limp, her eyes having rolled back in her head.

"I'm the Hero!" he yelled.

The yelling stopped.

Everything was still and silent.

The figures lunged for him, pulling him back into his room, and forcing him to his knees, tying ropes around his arms as they through his sword and shield to the side. He had no chance of fighting back. No chance of trying to reach the girl, who couldn't be older than Saria... who didn't even have anyone to miss her. "Are you now?" asked a voice. In a puff of smoke, a tall man with two long swords on his sides appeared. "Who... What the... What the hell?" he asked, looking around. Everything was happening so fast... so very... Fast...

A kick to the ribs stopped him from falling unconscious.

"A boy like you couldn't be the Hero of Time" the man took out one of his swords, sliding it down Uther's face. "The Hero from our time has many scars. And the Hero of your Time has a missing eye. If you really wish to be the hero, than maybe you should look a bit like him" blood dripped into his eyes, causing him to shut them tightly. "Tell me boy, where is the Hero? We have word that you know"

"I don't... know... AH!" he yelled as the sword cut deeper into his fresh, this time right down his cheek. One of the other figures gagged his mouth with a rag that quickly became covered in blood. His screams were muffled through it. "Oh, but I think you do. I think you know where all of them are" the man continued, dragging the sword down his face, with perfect presition, as he spoke. "I think you know everything" he finally stopped, leaving the wounds a bloody mess on Uther's face. "It's really to bad that you don't know anything" the man continued, his voice angry now as he ran his sword across Uther's ear, cutting it into a curved shape. "Really too bad..."

The tip of his sword rested gently on Uther's closed eye lid.

"Maybe next time you shouldn't mess with the Yiga Clan!" he pushed his sword into Uther's eye.

"AHH!" his screams were still muffled as the man wiped the blood off his sword, and motioned the boy, obviously saying something to his fellow "Yiga Clan" members. The last thing that Uther saw as he fell unconscious were puffs of smoke.
