Jungkook takes the long way home, which is walking. Despite the warm weather and people giving him looks for wearing a scarf around his neck, Jungkook needs to clear his mind.

Needs the brightness of the sun to bring his mind back to reality and out of the darkness of Jin's room where it’s still trapped.

It takes him just over half an hour to walk home usually, but today his weak legs can’t walk him there in less than forty five minutes.

As he saunters down the streets and up a few hills, Jungkook's mind keeps replaying his visit with regret.

Not because of what happened, but because of how he left so soon after. Their hour was not up yet, and usually, Jin allows him to stay and talk.

Today though, Jungkook was in rush to get out of there. Could barely look at Jin without having to force himself not to blurt out everything he wanted to say.

Of course, Jin noticed something was wrong. Asked Jungkook several times if he was okay while cleaning his wound and stomach.

Looked at him with worried eyes as Jungkook hastily got dressed, accepted the scarf and bolted.

He can’t remember a time when Jin seemed genuinely worried about him, and he’s not sure how that is supposed to make him feel.

Confused, undoubtedly, because the vampire’s at Yoongi’s… establishment are not supposed to care about the people that come see them.

It’s all for the purpose of physical pleasure and nothing more. Jungkook knows that.

Signed an agreement when he first visited that stated he understood these rules and that if he ever expected more, he’d be banned.

For many reasons, he’ll never forget that day.

Though he’d suspected it for a long time, it was the day he really learned about vampires’ existence.

They’d been more of a tale as he grew up because half the people he knew believed they were real and the other half didn’t.

Called Jungkook childish whenever he entertained the idea of ever seeing one or interacting with one.

He did his research, found people on campus that had more information than him, and eventually it led him to Yoongi.

All he got was a name and an address and a few days later, Jungkook stood in front of the entrance of the building he’d come to one a week for the following months.

Even now during finals and graduation coming up, Jungkook is still giving up one afternoon a week to go visit Jin.

Though as he is walking home, the idea of never going back sounds tempting.
