In the heart of the city, where the hum of engines and the buzz of neon signs never ceased, there was a tattoo shop known to all as “Ink Haven.”

The owner, Jungkook, was a master of his craft, his hands steady and his designs legendary. But despite the vibrancy of his art, Jungkook was a man of quiet demeanor, his presence like a gentle shadow in the colorful chaos of his shop.

Seokjin, on the other hand, was a storm of a man. With tattoos adorning his arms like battle scars and a motorcycle that roared like thunder, he was the epitome of wild freedom.

To the world, he was the hot, tattooed guy who never stayed in one place for too long.

To Jungkook, he was an enigma, a constant in the form of an ever-present tease outside his shop.

Despite his tough exterior, Jungkook had seen glimpses of kindness and vulnerability in Seokjin that intrigued him.

“Hey, pretty doll,”
Seokjin would call out, a smirk playing on his lips as he leaned against his bike, a lit cigarette dangling from his fingers.

Jungkook would only roll his eyes, a small smile betraying his annoyance.

What Seokjin didn’t know was that Jungkook had asthma, the smoke from his cigarettes an invisible threat to his delicate lungs.

But Jungkook never said a word, the undefined nature of their relationship leaving things unsaid, feelings unexplored.

It was on a day like any other, with the sun dipping low and painting the sky in shades of fire, that everything changed.

Seokjin was there, as always, but the teasing words died on his lips when he saw Jungkook stagger, his hand clutching at his chest before he crumpled to the ground.

Panic replaced the usual calm in Seokjin’s eyes as he rushed to Jungkook’s side, the cigarette forgotten as it smoldered on the pavement.

“Jungkook!”
He called, his voice laced with fear. When there was no response, Seokjin didn’t hesitate.

He first woke up Jungkook pushing the pumper inside him mouth, medicine working and helping Jungkook gain conscious.

"Seokjin-"
Jungkook said faintly as his eyes watered making Seokjin panic and he hugged Jungkook to his chest, relieved.

He lifted Jungkook into his arms, the weight of him both a burden and a revelation, and sped towards his home.

The hours that followed were a blur of worry and whispered confessions as Seokjin nursed Jungkook back to health.

It was in the quiet moments, with Jungkook’s head resting against Seokjin’s shoulder, that the walls between them began to crumble.

“I never knew,”
Seokjin murmured, his voice heavy with regret.
