Chapter 52

A/N: Sorry this is a real chapter but I just gotta rant rlly quickly, so before you read the chapter you have to listen to what happened

Soooo me n my roomie are close and we consider each other good friends. In the fall she asked me if I wanted to room w her again next year and I ofc said yeah. She was really set on getting into this one building, and in order for us to room there, there's a bunch of requirements I have to meet. None for her only me. One of those things was that I needed was a certain GPA and ngl sometimes my grades aren't always the best, so I was really stressed about it and I've been working on it and she knows how hard I've been working on that. On Tuesday we got an email about roommate selection and I asked her if she filled it out. She goes "avaya what's your gpa" and I told her and she said "Umm ok well I think I'm gonna end up dorming by myself". Then left and went to class. I was literally flabbergasted. Like bc my grades can't get us into this one building you're not gonna room with me anymore. Like if you're really my friend, you wouldn't care which building we get placed in. It rlly hurt my feelings, it just feels really rude and makes her seem fake. But idk maybe I'm just bc overdramatic or too sensitive🤷🏽‍♀️

After we had found Jimmy we all went back to Johnny's house and helped clean up the house. Unfortunately, his parents came back home before we were finished and of course Sid gave Johnny an earful. When their argument started to get heated, Laura sent all of us home.

I drove home and walked into my apartment and saw my dad sitting on the couch facing the tv but the tv wasn't on

"Hey dad, you ok?" I asked

"You wanna tell me about what happened last night?"

"Not much happened just the party"

"You sure? Nothing else you wanna tell me?" My dad asked

"I'm assuming by your tone that you already know what happened" I said

"Laura called me, told me everything that happened"

"How does Laura know what happened, she wasn't even there"

"The girl told her then she called me and told me" he said. He stood up from the couch and started pacing around the living room. "Maybe you should sit down"

"I was actually going to take a shower" I said motioning to the bathroom

"Let me rephrase that sit down. Now." He ordered

Now I was a little nervous, my dad rarely gets mad at me. I sat down on the couch and looked up at him

"What was the rule I said you had to follow when we moved out here"

"Dad—"

"—what was the rule" he repeated more firmly

"Watch who I'm friends with and who I surround myself with"

"Exactly and you obviously aren't following that rule. It's probably coming from that karate dojo. I should've checked it out before you even joined"

"What are you talking about? You never had a issue with the dojo before"

"That was before last night"

"You're saying like I've done something awful"

"Last night doesn't sound like something you would do, who were you with?"

"I was with the guys"

"Then maybe you need to spend a little less time with them"

"What?"
