"Is this the hotel?"

"Yeah, babe."

"It belongs to his dad?"

"Yeah."

"I came here often when I was a kid. My uncle rented a flat for him and his girlfriends."

"Jeez."

"Yeah, yeah. One flat. There were about 8 of them."

"And what did you come here to do?"

"I was his best niece. My mother always brought me with her to talk to him about changing. She believed that if I was in his sight he would consider that."

"Huh," he scoffed. "Best niece indeed. Sexism."

I shrugged. "I was with my mum, and then I was still ignorant."

"Still ignorant is when you get it all wrong, babe. Those guys do that when you're very little because they know you will never understand. Yeukk."

I'd known that. What was wrong with my brain for even saying that?

I sat in the car in silence. He jogged round to my side and gave me a quick peck on my jaw when I didn't realize I was daydreaming.

"Come on. Let's go."

We walked to the reception area, and the receptionist nodded when he recognized Ethan and gave me a polite smile which I returned.

He pressed the elevator for the 6th floor, never leaving my hand. When the elevator doors opened, I saw a nice hallway. I felt a new freshness, and the soft music that played through the wall speakers was soothing. The red carpet was thick with fur when my boots sank in.

"Tony."

"Emilia." We shared a little hug.

"Most privileged to have you here. Yo man." They did their fist bump.

We got in and settled down.

"Elsa's taking a bath. I'll find out if she's done."

He walked away, and I did what every other person would do; look around a classic apartment, with beautiful antiques and clean furniture.

"You look so good in this sundress, you know." Ethan snapped me out of my thoughts, and shifted closer, lacing my fingers with his again.

"Ethan, come on. Not here." I blushed so deeply that I felt something climb up my arms. I mean, I had every reason to turn pink. I was wearing an overall because of the terrible cold, and I still didn't know how he could see the sundress.

Your overall is hanging that way, idiot. And your sundress brings out your form.

"Just behave, please."

I could feel my breathing pace giving up on me, and all he did to respond to that was chuckle. I pushed him off me slightly when I heard a female giggling from inside.

"Babe, meet Emilia, Ethan's friend."

I stood up and gave out my hand for a handshake, but it was hanging, so I quickly hid it behind me.

"Ethan's friend? Wait, is this green grass?"

Ethan chuckled. What or who was green grass?

Tony covered his mouth from giggling. "Yeah, baby. Emilia Harte."

"Shut up. Who doesn't know Emilia Harte? The girl whose grades are greener than grass. Come on."

She pulled me in for a hug. "From today, you'll be my sister, whether you like it or not. I need those grades too. Or do you mind?"

"I'll never mind."
