Following the quidditch match, Scilla haven't heard anything from Atheia again since halloween. But apparently, one of the Gryffindor first year was petrified that night.

How lucky he didn't die, she thought.

Hogwarts was full of whispers and murmurs from the students. Most, especially the muggleborns were on high alert in fear. They were all wondering the same thing,

Who is the heir of Slytherin?

Well, the Slytherins knew exactly who could possibly be the heir. After all, by now it's no longer a secret amongst the Slytherins that Scilla is a parselmouth. But none of them dare leak this to fact to anyone outside of the Slytherin house.

A few days after the Gryffindor kid petrification, most of the Hogwarts students gathered infront of the notice board.

Scilla frowned when she saw the notice about the dueling class that will be held in the great hall. Well, starting dueling class in this kind of time is not a bad idea, she thought.

"You'll come right?" Draco looked at Scilla in hope.

"I don't know, Dray. For now I'll go, I guess. We'll see how it is. Come on, we still have one more class."

The Slytherins went to their last class, excited for the dueling class.

The great hall was packed with students from all houses and years. They were chattering in excitement, anticipating their dueling class. The hall was free of the tables, leaving a high platform.

Even Scilla was quite anticipating this class, as much as she doesn't want to admit it. There used to be a dueling class and she quite enjoyed it, a pity Dumbles removed it because he thought it was dangerous. That was bloody stupid.

All anticipation and excitement she had flew out of the window the moment she saw the one and only, Gilderoy Lockhart. She groaned loudly along with a few others, especially the boys.

"You've got to be kidding me." She muttered.

"Gather round! Gather round! Can everyone see me? Can you all hear me? Excellent. In light of the dark events of recent weeks, Professor Dumbledore has granted me permission to start this little Dueling Club, to train you all up in case you ever need to defend yourselves as I myself have done on countless occasions, for full details, see my published works."

"What a load of bulls." Draco whispered to his sister who nodded in agreement.

"Let me introduce my assistant Professor Snape. He has sportingly agreed to help me with a short demonstration. Now I don't want any of you youngsters to worry. You'll still have your Potions Master when I'm through with him, never fear!"

"I'll bet you 10 galleons, Prof. Snape will defeat him in one move." Blaise said to Scilla.

"10 galleons, he'll use Expelliarmus and Lockhart will lose his wand." Scilla shook Blaise's hand.

Both Severus and Lockhart bow to each other before they turn and walk ten paces. They turn to face each other, wand at hand.

"As you can see, we are holding our wands in the accepted combative position. On the count of three, we will cast our first spells. Neither of us will be aiming to kill, of course."

"Wouldn't bet on that." Theo commented, noticing Severus' murderous expression.

"One, two, three-"

"Expelliarmus."

Scarlet light burst from Severus' wand, knocking Lockhart off his feet and into the wall behind him. The Slytherins all cheered for their head of house.
