Quick notice guys, I have changed Lady Kahlan's name to Enmyria.

I stood there, panting, feeling sorry for the training dummy who suffered my wrath. All I did was imagine it being Orion and tear it up to pieces. My soul was restless regardless of what I did. It hurts me to recall their name-calling if not the manner they addressed me as. I felt trapped and unwanted. Rejection was written all over my face.

Being through it had me already believing I was not worth it, I was not good enough. My parents cast me aside without a moment's thought. I'm cursed, cursed with the demon of rejection. I failed to meet the standard of the people I wanted to notice my existence, Creena and Ronan.

"I could not believe my eyes when I saw you," a man's voice says capturing my attention. He is old but younger than the king and also has this masculine aura, the kind that suggests not to look down on his age as he is still strong and fit as a fiddle.

"I have seen you dine at the feast with the others," I narrow my eyebrows at him in confusion at his statement. "who are you?"

"Sometime long ago a girl saved my life. At first, my judgment was frail she did not quite figure it out but she did." He goes on pacing around.

"why are you telling me this?" I ask feeling uninterested in the topic as it was not of my concern.

"I was on the verge of death. I felt my spirit slipping away, then she touched me sang a song and I got well so I left her something, a souvenir. Fate had a way of bringing us back together we met yet again this time she demanded learning about wielding swords."

His little narrations brought a flashback, I remember walking up to someone and asking them to train. My hand touches the pendant. The memory of a man touching it, asking where I got it bounces back to my head then I look up to the man I see his face.

"General," I gasped perplexed. He grins.

"you remembered. I'm Leonius, General Leonius,"

" you have aged perfectly," I compliment him.

"what of.... " he struggles to ask of something, repeating himself till he lets it out. "what of your mother?" Why the sudden change of topic? My instincts trust him so tell him everything.

"Have you thought of getting her?"

"every passing hour I want to go find her, however, I feel the need to get on His Majesty's good side before making any demands."

"that's very correct whatever it will take I will have your back." He says going away. I went on to do some archery first with a bow which was easy as I was already good at it. I grabbed a crossbow. My first attempt equaled zero. I got frustrated aiming to use a crossbow was different.

I loaded the crossbow once more closed my eyes, relaxed my arms, and exhaled carefully, my eyes on the target I aimed. The arrow flew across the field only to light up as it hit the target. Goodness! I must have enchanted it. Hurriedly I grab a bucket of water and put out the fire before it burns down the straw.

"that's dangerous, A change would do." my subconscious advised. It was almost midmorning and I could see knights heading over to my direction for their training. Orion would be here anytime and I was not in the mood to see him. Without further ado, I place everything back in its very position and head back to my chambers.

"Morning my lady," Mithian greets as she finishes setting the table. "I was about to come get you." I was in a better mood the few hours I had to myself proved useful, though that doesn't mean I forgot or that my heart doesn't ache. Without uttering a word I head to the already put-together dining table and eat in silence. The room is still in disarray with one broken chair on the other side.
