Oliver's POV

I was quite surprised that for once Corrina didn't studder. I swear I felt that something was diferent about her. Maybe this feeling is why she's my assignment. The address matches so I'm certain that she's the girl I was looking for. She was supposed to be an only child so there should be no one else in the house with her. I broke from my thoughts as Corrina started walking and turned around a corner and I lost sight of her. I ran after her and in a few leaps and bounds, cuaght up with the quiet girl. She seemed to be in deep thought becuase I could actually see her face now. She was beautiful. Perfect skin tone. Big, light brown eyes that accented her long, light blonde hair that glistened in the sunlight. I turned back to the road to see a nice sized, modern style home. As we reached the door I noticed that Corrina had pulled out a key that I assumed was for the front door. My assumption correct, she stuck the key in the keyhole and twisted the lock and opened the door.

"I'm home Trinity." Corrina called into the house and then ushered me inside. She kept her head up and actully looked at me this time. She seemed to definetly be a different person behind that stone wall. "Want a snack?" She asked as she showed me her living room table. I nodded and gave her a wink. She blushed deeply and quickly turned and walked into her kitchen and shut the wood and paper door behind her. I pulled out my Lit book and opened up the page were I had taken my notes. I pulled out my black and red mechanical pencil and set it in the page bindings. I looked around and saw a small black kitten approching me slowly. "Hey there." I said to the kitten and held out my hand for it to examine. It looked at me and then my hand. It looked at the kitchen door and made a few long meows.

Corrina suddenly opened the door with some strawberry rice balls on a wooden plater and looked down at the kitten beside my hand. "Trinity! I called for you and you didn't come. Come on I'll get you something to eat." The girl said a little to quickly. She put the plater on the table and bent down and picked up her kitten. As she was doing so, I cuaght a glimpse of something purple on the back of her neck. Unfortunetly her long hair quickly covered it up so I couldn't see it anymore. "One second." She told me and snapped me from my thoughts for a second to watch her scamper into her kitchen again. What was that? Was that a tattoo? Ooh... She has a bad girl side too, huh?

"Sorry about that." Corrina told me as she walked over to the table and sat down across from me. "I'm a fast writer and i understand the class so you can just relax for a little." She told me and I raised and eyebrow. She seem to be trying to get rid of me. "That's cool. As long as I can ask you a few questions while you work." I replied and floped onto my back and stared at the ceiling. "Sure." I heard her say, followed by a click of a machanical pencil. "Do you have any family in Japan?" I asked. "No, I live alone. My parents and the rest of my family live in America where I'm originally from. Japanese is my first language since I speak it here." She replied coolly. I nodded and put one hand behind my head and the other resting on my chest.

"Do you do anything fun as a hobby?" Snickering at my question. There was a puase and I couldn't tell if she was rolling her eyes or just working. "For fun, I draw." She answered simply. God does she know how to hold a conversation?! Or is she that plain dull? I heard a page flip and I raised my eyebrows slightly. She was a fast writer. Only a couple pages left to copy and she'd be done. Gotta up the anty! "Do we have any class trips soon?" That was not uping the anty! "There is supposed to be a class trip for four days the day after finals ends next week. The teachers are trying to give out the most points they can before they can't teach for a few days." Corrina explained flatly to me. She flipped the page and I finally blurted it out. "I saw you have something purple on the back of your neck. What is it?" I heard Corrina's pencil drop at my question. I sat up with a grunt and looked at the wide eyed girl. "Meow!" I heard the Trinity yowl from the kitchen door. I looked at the kitten who gave me a steely glare through her now narrow slits.

"It's just a tattoo I got of my family crest when I was young." Corrina told me sheepishly and picked up her pencil. I knew she was hidding something from me about her mark. She set back to work faster than ever. Damn this girl wants me out! I gotta tel her- "All done! I'll walk you back to the gate!" Corrina exclaimed through a flushed faced grin. She passed me back my book and I slid it back into my bag. I followed her out of the house and silently to the stone wall. "Corrina I'm sorry if i hit a nerve." I apologized. She shook her head with a smile. "No, I'm sorry for making you worry today. It's just that I have this thing where i faint a lot when my heart rate gets to high. I don't run in gym for that reason." She explained to me and held the thick metal door open for me. "See you tomorrow and thanks for the notes." She gave me a closed eyed smile. She really was a different person behind these walls.

She would be really popular if she acted like this at school. "Ya, see ya tomorrow!" I called as i walked through the door and waved to her on the other side. She gave me a small wave and she shut the door. I sighed and scratched the back of my brown hair. God I need something to eat. I forgot to grab one of those rice balls. I started walking up the hill to my own apartment when i heard someone call my name from behind me. I turned around and saw Corrina panting and holding something in a green clothed wrapping. "You... forgot... your riceballs..." She told me and finally cuaght her breath. She held it out to me and i walked back towards her. "Thanks." I told her with a smile and wink. She reddened as I took the cloth from her, purposfully touching her hand in the process. I turned around and gave her a short wave and went back on my merry way. I think I like her more than Pheonix.
