Corrina's POV

I had been talking to Regina in my head and she told me something interesting about the ancient writing about her.

Yes the scripture does exist, but there's something to it. The only people that can find it are those with the red mark; King Rex had the red mark. With limited time left to live he poured his mark's magic and transformation into the wedding ring he wore. Since when your mark is drained of power or removed you die, I was left to wallow in his departure. I buried the ring with him, but someone robbed his grave and used magic filled ring to reek havoc in the land. The man went by Lues. He felt that he deserved the best wife and the love for me was also placed inside my late husband's ring. So he broke into the palace and forced me to marry him. Before the ceremony we fought and I won. His hatred made my husband's ring cursed so I buried it away with the text to warn people who found it what would happen. Unfortunately, it seems he mistook what I had wrote.

So he's only after me because of this Lues guy? How can I snap him out of it?

I have been studying the boy and found the ring on his left hand middle finger. If you can pry it off him then Lues' desire to marry you should leave him. He will be unconscious for a few days though. This isn't the first time this has happened to the girls I've been with.

OK, so all I have to do is get he ring off him? Sounds easier than it looks...

I sighed and easily found where the evil ring was located. I can't believe I hadn't seen it at all before! I tugged of Oliver's shirt slightly and he looked down at me. I was determined. "I got this. I know what's wrong." I told his simply. He nodded and I unraveled my arms from around him and strolled to the front of the group. "Corrina? What are you doing?" Arcadia asked worriedly. I gave her brief smile, and she understood. She took Fredrick's brown jacket sleeve and tugged him back a few steps. He gave her a look but obeyed and soon Rica and Trinity followed. I stood in between Darin and my friends, hands on hips. "Finally decided to come to your senses?" Darin asked, trying to sound sympathetic. I shook my head. "Strength Magicenque." I muttered and my armor began to glow over my body. When the light shattered I pulled out my sword and held it pointed slanted to the ground in my right hand. "I have. The only reason you're doing this is because you clearly ignored the warning from Regina about the ring in the first place. Now I have to set things right." I told Darin and lowered myself into a fighting pose.

Darin just cracked up, like this was the funniest joke he had ever heard. "You're going to take the ring from me?! Oh that's delicious!" He cried out in a furry of laughs. I narrowed my eyes. He was starting to tick me off. I guess my tolerance toward others seemed to subside a lot more when I had transformed. I extended my wings and dashed forward, aiming my blade at Darin's massive paw. He rose into the air in a flash and I accidentally sliced off one of his long, sharp, claws. He cried out in pain. He flapped his bat-like wings and hovered just about a meter off the ground. "Let's take this to the skies." I challenged and jumped into the air. I flapped my wings slowly and dashed towards the clouds. "If you want me come get me!" I cried out as I dashed into a thick cloud. I heard growling from behind me so I flew at a ninety degree angle until I had come out of the cloud cover. I saw the shadows passing through the clouds from above and smiled. I flew and quietly as I could underneath him and then made my move. I flew up and followed his tail long tail through the clouds. "Looking for something?" I questioned innocently, sending Darin to stop abruptly and turn to face me. I swiftly sliced my sword at his middle finger and watched it fall towards the ground. "FINGER COMING DOWN. EVERYONE RUN OR GET HIT!" I cried down below. Hearing a few squeals I started to laugh.
