"There is hope
But not for us"

Author's POV

Eighteen years old Yoo Jung was happy that day she got paid for her job. It wasn't much money, enough for her daily needs. The cleaning job was simple too.

As she closed the bakery door, the bell chimed behind her. She looked up at the sky. The heavy clouds gathered around in grey, the blowing of the wind flew her dark hair on her shoulder.

It's getting dark early. The small water drops touch her skin. She hurried, she had no umbrella with her.

There is this shortcut that connects the road to her home. She just had to cross the woods and she will be in her home near the prestigious Bangtan academy. She had another job there from morning to noon. Students from rich and nobel families study there.

But God had plans.

The rain poured down harder and harder. In the rain she ran. Nature wirled, playing its designed role.

Getting Out of the woods she slowed down by the road and as she resumed her walk there was something falling on her shoulder.

In the heavy downpour Jungkook somehow managed to drag himself to the road.

He approached the only girl in the rain.

She turned around trembling, shocked from the touch, enveloped in sudden fear of abduction.

"Excuse me"

Yoo Jung squeezed her eye at the man whose shoulders were sagging. He looked like he could faint any moment.

"Is there any nearby phone?" Jungkook asked, breathless and rushed.

"I guess, come with me, I could show you"

"I don't think it's a good idea to walk around in the rain" Jungkook mumbled, mainly he doesn't want this girl to get into trouble if Jimin ever catches him.

He was a few steps forward and she had to speed up to catch him to shout from behind "There is one"

Yoo Jung pointed out the bus station where there is an old red telephone, and looked back up at the man doubtfully. She didn't stop him, didn't follow him. She resumed her home.

Jungkook turns over his shoulder and smiles briskly before he takes off running, not without a bye. With nothing in his mind, only his sister Seara.

Regret ran through his heart, strongly like a muddy flood. Regret that he couldn't save Taehyung, that pure soul who didn't do any sin other than loving his sister, nothing other than giving her happiness, had died in a cruel way. Jungkook felt suffocated like his face is inside in a thin polythene cover.
