“Time tell us If it is love”
Author's POV
The wind howled through the deserted road, swirling leaves around Jungkook’s feet as he stood before the old phone. He felt It had been years since he stepped foot in this place. He took a deep breath, his heart heavy with anticipation and longing.
One ring, two... his heart raced. Would she answer?
On the third ring, the world seemed to still, and then a delicate voice broke through the silence, floating like raindrops around him.
"Hello?"
It was her—Seara. The ghostly tone of her voice sent a chill down Jeongguk's spine. He swallowed hard, forcing the words past the knot in his throat.
"Seara," he whispered, his heart pounding.
Silence unfurled between them like the pages of an old book, but her presence enveloped him, warm and inviting despite the chill of the rain.
"Jungkook? brother?" she murmured, and Jeongguk could almost picture her smiling softly as she spoke.
“No, I'm someone else.”
“Oh”
“I have been told to pass you a message on behalf of Jungkook.”
“What is it?”
"He said he came to you. Please wait for him.”
Behind them the ghost ofJungkook bowed his head, that was meant to be for Mrs. Jung then he would come running over here next. And then the guy is going to hit him on the head— a repetition, until Jeon Jungkook finds his peace.
"I love you, Jungkook wants to say" he continued, each word heavy with the weight of loss and hope.
"I’ve searched for a way to make you happy again. I won't stop until it happens."
Her laugh echoed gently, carried on the whisper of the wind. "He said that he will, I know him. He always did know how to pull me back to life, after all he is my brother. But, tell him to Jungkook he must be careful. There are forces at work here that he cannot see... especially my ex-husband Jimin"
"I will tell him. And he also wants to say he will come for you no matter what so believe in your brother and wait. Let's be happy…sister”
Myung looked at Gguk. Nobody said that. She was sure in the message Mrs.Jung shared with them there were no such words.
"Happy? He said that" She asked sweetly.
"You have always been there for me, brother" it breathed, the sound like the rustle of leaves in a quiet forest.
The bond of the sister and brother reminds Jeongguk that love knows no boundaries, no end.
"I will wait," she promised, her voice softening with determination.
