🍁4: The Rain

“The sound of the rain”

Myung-Ho's POV

The bright sunlight hit my face mercilessly. I tossed back completely avoiding the light, now my back facing the window.

Few minutes I laid like that and then I turned back gradually sitting on the bed. I glance around to find the room is completely silent.

When I looked at the door, Gguk entered the room with a book in his hands. We have been sneaking in and out of our dormitory rooms. The Boys hostel stayed in their own building but Jeongguk found no difficulty in following me around.

The guard kept his eyes shut with a smile as if already guessed that we were lovers.

"Good morning, " I mumbled in my half sleep.

"yeah.. Good afternoon."

What?? I glanced back at the table clock,and it's noon. I overslept. But then it's my vacation so no worries.

"So...this is how you decided to spend time? Sleeping in your room?"

Gguk questioned me, narrowing his gaze to me when I stepped out from the bathroom, changing into my casual outfit.

"yeah I guess since there is nothing to explore."

"You think?"

"Let's go Myung, if we delay our lunch you have to wait until our tea time."

I remember the dining time didn't change even if it's a holiday or whatsoever. Bangtan still maintains a strict aura.

My stomach responded hungrily so we decided to walk to the Canteen.

The hallway stand proud. The stunning chandelier hang from the roof shine reflected by the passing light. It was completely designed like a castle in the middle of forest. Walking along side Gguk through the red carpeted hallway I feel like a princess walking with her prince.

When we finished our lunch at the cafeteria, Gguk pulled me outside the school building. The building stands tall with its almighty look from the outside. Resembling those old European castles.

"Gguk..where are we going?"

"You will know once we are there."

Gguk and his surprises, I thought as we walked down the footpath with cherry trees alongside. This school has many parts that I still don't know. Most likely he was leading me on one of those rarely visited paths. I could tell it's not often used with the dirty leaves all around scattered.

The soil here is rotten and ugly having a weird smell like a dead forest. I looked around. We are now far from the main school building. An eerily silent silence surrounded us.

Bangtan has many buildings inside and most of them were empty and closed .The main building was the only one most of us spent time here which included our classes and lab except the canteen area and the dorm.

Now I stand in front of one of those. We were now in an old Lab room near the school.

The room showed no signs of having been used in a long time. It was covered in spider webs. The nearly broken test tubes and funnels are smothering in dust and spider mesh,

"Gguk, how did you know about this place?"

"I know pretty much everything," he said with a proud smile.

"It's my hideout no one know except me and now you"

Hideout ..he has a hideout place too and he invited me into his comfort zone. He trusts me that much to share his secret place with me. My heart beat like crazy in my ears.

"Hey!," I shouted, falling back to the desty floor. Jeongguk sat near me with a smile.

The darkness filled with hot breaths, nothing else. In that empty silence love speaks louder and clearer.

I let out " I love you."

"I love you too"

The room fell back to silence except our breathing.

He pulled me to him. keeping me closer to his chest. He held me affectionately, petting my hair soothingly.

I felt safer in his hold. I know I won't find this security in no one's touch. No one will make me feel like what Gguk makes me feel like. He was mine and mine only.

"I love you Jeongguk."

“Babe, are you sure you're alright?

"I am fine."

"You say way too much I love you today that makes me worried."

I chuckled. He who doesn't get tired of saying I love you countless times now worries that I say it two times in a row. Maybe that was due to the overwhelming surge of love. I was very moved by his care and affection.

Today being together here I feel like we were lovers meeting after a long wait.

When we had left the dormitory, there hadn't been a cloud in the sky. It was perfect weather with a clear sky. Now it was darkened with thick grey clouds, heaving down on the roof like shadows.

Is it going to rain? In the middle of summer?

As though in response to my thought a heavy rain suddenly started falling, sending cold chilly air into the room.The sound of the downpour echoed through the room.

"I'm surprised. It didn't look like it was going to rain at all," A sudden rain that's strange.

I looked beyond the dusty window. The large drops of rain were clearly visible in the darkness. Are we going to be stuck inside the whole day? I thought about looking at the heavy rain then back to him.

"That's some rain, huh," I said.

"It sure is," he agreed.

"The sky must be jealous of how close we are"
