"Stay here, King Micah. The Sorcerers Guild is on their way to help protect Bright Moon. I promise, Your Majesty, we'll bring Glimmer home to you. Swift Wind, take Bow and Entrapta to the Fright Zone. Find Glimmer, we can still stop this." Adora reassures Micah.
"What are you going to do?" the archer asks.
"We're going to the Crystal Castle. We have to keep Light Hope from activating the Heart of Etheria." I explain.
"For the honor of Grayskull." Adora transforms.
We're both running inside the woods.
All of a sudden we get stopped by magic engulfing us.
Adora grips her sword and gasps.
"Oh, no."
We make it inside the Crystal Castle.
"Light Hope, please, don't do this." I plead.
"Good, you are here. Now we can begin." the hologram spoke.
"After a thousand years, my programming will be fulfilled. The Heart of Etheria will be unleashed against the First Ones' enemies."
"No, there are no First Ones anymore. Whatever war they were fighting, it's long over." Adora says.
"The First Ones will rise again. You are descendants of their mighty empire. That is why I used all my strength to reach across the entire universe to find you and bring you here."
I look at her in disbelief.
"You told us Hordak was the one who brought us through the portal. You told us he stole us. But it was you all along. All of this is because of you!" Adora shouts at Light Hope.
"This is your intended function. You will bring the First Ones to glory. It is what you were born to do."
"No. No, we won't."
"The Heart of Etheria has been activated. You will be the one to fire it. There is no stopping it now."
She says those words and I collapse to the floor on my knees.
"It won't work. Mara hid us in Despondos so you couldn't hurt anyone else."
"Mara...Mara's interference caused a significant delay. But no longer. With the planet balanced, portal capability is restored. Initiate planetary move, out of the Dimension of Despondos."
I can't move without feeling pain.
I look at my hands and they're covered in what looks like First One's writing patterns.
"Adora. What's happening?" I show her my hands.
"It's what Entrapta said..."
I look back at my hands in horror.
I can feel the magic entering my body.
The burning feeling inside my chest is only growing.
"Light Hope. Please. Mara trusted you. She knew that you were more than just a hologram. She knew that you cared about her. She knew you cared about Sapphire. Why are you doing this?" I ask.
"Mara. Mara would not want me to-- Mara was a traitor. She turned against her people." Light Hope says.
"Mara was your friend. She knew you were more than just a program, and so do we. You can stop this." Adora pleads.
"I am not as strong as Mara. I cannot change my programming. This is our destiny."
"No. This is not our destiny." I raise my voice.
"You will comply."
She-Ra's sword starts floating up.
"No, no, no." she brings it back down.
She slashed her sword into the ground, but that only made it worse.
She was forced to kneel down as the magic inside of my body started spiraling out of me.
"It is time." the hologram spoke.
Adora looks at her.
"I won't be controlled. I am not a piece of their machine. I am not a weapon. And I'm going to end this now."
"No. Stop. Don't. Do it."
"Do it. Don't."
"Don't."
Light Hope pauses for a minute.
And in that minute I felt a bit of relief.
Like the magic was never there.
"Do it."
I blacked out for a few minutes but I awoke to the sight of a very distressed Adora.
She saw me opening my eyes amd she immediately embraced me tightly.
"Adora. You're okay..." I say relieved.
"What happened?"
As I said that she started sobbing into my shoulder.
"She-Ra.." she said in a broken voice.
"She's... Gone."
I sat there in shock with the blonde in my arms.
"What..?"
We sat there for a bit until she calmed down.
"Wait. Where's Light Hope?" I asked.
"She's gone. Like She-Ra."
"Huh? Wait. I don't-"
"My sword shattered and the last thing Light Hope said was “Thank you.”" she looked at me, teary eyed.
"It's going to be okay. I promise." reassure her.
"I hope you're right." she held my hand.
We got up and started heading out.
"So does that mean.. I'm not your guardian anymore?"
"I have no idea." the blonde replies.
We both stand on a hill until we hear a familiar voice.
"Adora. Y/n."
We slid down he hill and hugged Bow.
"They took her. They took Glimmer." he says.
Adora added,
"She-Ra's gone. The Sword is broken.""What are we gonna do?" Bow asks.
"We're going to get Glimmer back...and we're going to save the universe."
