Sneaking out and ditching grandpa's dojo class again since he wasn't the one teaching, I heard people outside the gates so I took a look.
There, I saw a woman with thick make-up and a little girl with sandy blond hair. The woman was saying something to the girl and had a sad smile.
She then left and said goodbye to the little girl before grandpa approached the child and led her in.
When I saw the girl's face, I immediately recognized who it was just from her honey eyes.
It's Little Emma.
So this is the time where she joins the family. I didn't know since there wasn't any date specified in the manga as far as I can remember.
I went inside the dojo, careful not to be seen. Manjiro immediately approached me while I was walking in, nagging how I left him alone.
We were then called to sit in one line, facing our grandpa.
"SHINICHIRO, MICHIYO, MANJIRO, EMMA." Grandpa called in a loud voice.

"No need to yell, grandpa." Shin muttered
"From now onward, you're siblings." Grandpa announced, surprising Shin and Manjiro.
"She is foreign, right? Emma is a foreign name." Manjiro asked.
You'd be more surprised to hear about the names I've heard in my past life. Imagine naming your child "Quarantina" for crying out loud.
Grandpa smacked Manjiro's head before walking away, telling us to get along. Manjiro groaned in pain while Shin laughed and told him that he don't know anything about girls.
Says the one who just got busted again last week. When I was still a baby and said that he'd pull many girls, I didn't know who he really was so I feel sorry for him.
"Hey! I know more about girls than you do! Girls like to read and do boring assignments." Manjiro retorted.
"You're just describing Michiyo!" Shin exclaimed back before the two wrestled around. I just sat quietly and thought why I was even involved.
