Third Person POV

The sound of the keyboard and mouse-clicking echoed throughout the office. Eyes glued to the scene and piles of papers scattered on the tables. Cans of coffee and instant foods were seen anywhere.

A group of professional scientists along with their youngest intern, racking their minds off to finish a report about a new cure for the ongoing pandemic. Tirelessly, they've worked day and night to make a cure and now they only needed to finish their report which is due in only a few hours.

Eyebrows scrunched and fingers quickly pressed every single key they need to encode a sentence, everyone was on edge and in an internal panic until their youngest colleague raised her hand and gained their attention.

"I'm finished" She said in a monotone voice and quickly their leader came to check her work. Amazed by how she finished her part in such a short time, some even requested to ask her help on their part which she easily agreed to.

And an hour before the deadline, they've managed to submit their report. Cheers and relieved sighs can be heard while some even shed a tear.

"Good job everyone! We made it just in time!" The team leader exclaimed, earning cheers from the majority of the members.

"But of course, our MVP for today is none other than our youngest intern, Y/n-chan!" The leader announced and many agreed and applauded while the said person only stood emotionlessly while being praised.

They were used to her not even smiling on big occasions and her stoic expression. It's just how she is, she never smiled but she wasn't shy to state her mind on occasions, she's just quiet.

After a few more words from everyone, they were allowed to go home and take a rest. Y/n walked with her older colleague and only friend who lives next to her apartment.

"Thank goodness, it's finally done." Her friend, Chika, sighed as they walked under the moonlight.

"You're right." Y/n simply replied.

"Oh, by the way, Y/n-chan, have you read the manga I've recommended?" Chika asked in a bubbly manner.

"Not yet."

"Eh? Why? Did you at least even start to read it yet?" Chika asked as she holds her shoulders.

"I stopped at the time leaping part." Y/n replied and slowly took off her friend's hands and walked ahead.

"Eh- THEN YOU STOPPED BEFORE ANYTHING EVEN STARTED YET?!" Chika exclaimed and caught up to Y/n.

"You're too loud, Chika-san, the town is sleeping. Also, the concept of time travel is scientifically impossible so I've lost interest. I'd rather read Aristotle's book about Physics over again." She replied and the other pouted and booed jokingly, teasing her in being a big nerd.

"You're too serious in studying, Y/n-chan. It is impressive that you achieved many things at 18 but you should enjoy youth, how about I take you to a mixer next week? But you should seriously need to rest first since you're starting to look like Bonten Mikey- ops sorry for the spoil." Chika said with a chuckle.
