The school bell rang signifying the end of class and the teacher was giving out instructions and extra reminders for the class.
"Now, don't forget to study for your test this term." The teacher said before leaving the classroom. As soon as she was out of sight, the students began to make a noise like they always do.
"Man, it feels like time's moving too fast, exams are a thing again." Manjiro muttered before leaning down the table and taking a nap.
I never need to worry about that; the exams are too easy for me. That reminds me, I still have to meet with Keiji to check his current research paper since it's almost time for his deadline. Apparently, he's been trying to win an award from the Japan Research Institute for the Outstanding Research of the year.
He said he tried to take the prize but he lost 5 years straight to one person and gave up. He recently had the motivation to participate again since I'm here to help him. I wonder who won those awards consecutively, what a genius they might be.
Aside from my deep thoughts, I noticed Haru was a bit too quiet and somehow preoccupied. He's just staring out the window with a blank look. I'll ask him later if there's something wrong.
And since the day for the coffee jelly discount, I'll just treat him that and ask. I can still remember when a friend from my past life used to treat me to a meal when I failed research. I just hope that kind of thing would help Haru the same way I was helped.
The school has come to an end today and I was one of the assigned cleaners for our classroom. It's not that bad really, the room is almost clean even without cleaning thanks to the rule I implemented about cleanliness. I doubt anyone would like to be called to the student council office.
"Michi, tell gramps I'll be back late! I'll be with Ken-chin and the others." Manjiro said before running out in a hurry. I wasn't even given a chance to say something, what a bothersome brother.
After we're done cleaning, we finally are about to get home. Haru was just waiting for me in front of the gate silently with an absent mind that he did not notice me behind him.
"Did you wait too long?" I asked which made him jump in surprise, snapping him out of his trance.
"N-no, not really. Should we head home now?" He asked.
