I miss you too.
"I don't think we're close enough to miss each other.", I said hastily.
Beidou scoffed, looking at me ludicrously. She walked tediously close to me, backing me into a corner of my office. She caged me in between the wall and her arms.
"Not close enough?"
She leaned close to my face, looking at my lips. I tilted my head, I parted my lips slightly, anticipating a kiss from her.
Beidou backed away from me, leaving distance between us once again,
"And you still say we're not close enough?", she raised an eyebrow and reached for the door.
"Beid—"
"Don't worry Lady Ningguang, I'm still going to cooperate with your plan."
She walked out of my office and slammed the door shut.
I sat at my chair dispirited, it's not like I didn't miss her as well, I was just afraid, afraid where all this would lead.

"Is the Guizhong Ballista ready?", I asked Keqing and Ganyu, who I ordered to oversee the construction of it.
"Yes, Lady Ningguang, we and the Milelith are all set as well.", Ganyu informed me.
"Beidou? Is your crew ready?"
She still isn't looking at me.
"Yes, all our canons are set.", She said, still not making eye contact.
"Traveler, Paimon, and Shenhe, are you both set?"
"We're all set Lady Ningguang!", Paimon's high pitched voice said enthusiastically.
"Qiqi, please, evacuate all the residents near the shore, Beisht should be here soon."
Qiqi nodded and ran off to evacuate the residents to safety. The others hurriedly going to their posts.
A storm was brewing into the harbor, pulling the Jade Chamber along with it.
Beisht was here.
