Ningguang
Beidou slowly put down her drink, raising a brow at me, waiting for me to continue.
"I only said what I said because I was afraid of where this was leading."
"And what did you think this was leading to?", Beidou asked me.
"I don't want to get hurt, I'm scared th- that in the future you're going to leave me like everyone did."
Beidou stayed silent, she stood from her table slowly walking to where I was sat, she dropped her head to meet eye level with me.
"Do you really think I'm going to leave you?", She held my chin in between her fingers, slowly caressing my cheeks. She looked at my lips and held it in a soft kiss. Archons, I missed her. I missed being in her presence, and just spending our time together.
She pulled away and wiped away my tears. I didn't even realize I was crying till she did. She tilted my head to look at her.
"Have a little more faith in me, hm?"

Beidou
It was already the afternoon when I woke up. The sun was setting and hues of oranges and yellows littered the sky, tinting the room with its shades.
"Ning, wake up, it's already late", I whispered, waking her up gently.
"Mmm, 5 more minutes.", She shifted in her sleep, hugging me tighter.
I was so relieved with her confession, I stayed up most nights and drank my sadness away.
I thought she hated me.
Ningguang was still cuddled up in my arms, resting her face on my chest, sleeping peacefully. I brushed one stray hair from her face, she looked so beautiful, I wish we could stay like this forever.
