It was 6:18 when I was done getting ready. I didn't really have any fancy clothes to where. So I picked out a silk white shirt that covered only my shoulders and skinny black jeans, with two knee rips, that showed off my long, fit legs, then lastly was my purple converses with white shoelaces. I straighted my hair making it drop down my back. And put on some blush, a small line of eyeliner, a light color of eyeshadow, and slightly darker shade of pink lipstick.
It was nothing major or even pretty enough to go on a date with but ... its all I got. I grabbed my phone, my wallet which only had 59 dollars in it but its all I got, I put the key to the house in my wallet after I locked the door. My uncle still hasn't been back not that I really or ever will care but... Anyways, it was now 6:23. So I just started walking to school.
When I made it to the school Andrew was already there, waiting. He was sitting on the bench in front of the school. And when he sees me, he instantly smiles and got up to walk up to me. And I couldn't help smile back, and any nervousness I had was out the window, replaced by full blown excitement.
"So, you ready?"he asked once we meet half way. He was smiling down at me, his eyes twinkling with an emotion I couldn't recognize.
But I still couldn't help but smile back, and nodded my head. "Yeah, let's go."I say.
"Cool."he says, he takes my hand and guides me to his car. And I couldn't help but feel the spark that zipped through me when he held my hand.
The gentleman that Andrew is, he opened the door for me. I smiled at him, I said small 'thanks' and climbed in. Once he shut the door, he jogged over the other side and climbed into the driver's seat. After throwing me a boyish smile, he started the car and we fell into a comfortable silence.
"So where are going?"I ask as I looked out the window seeing all the lampposts, houses, and cars flashing by.
"It's a surprise."he says cheekly.
I roll my eyes even though he probably can't see me, and chuckled lightly. "Of course it is."I comment.
"Hey! Whats that suppose to mean?"he asks mockingly.
I wave my hand, turning to look at him. "You know... it's just that you're that kind of guy."I lamely explain.
He takes a quick a look at me, raising an eyebrow then looks back at the road. "Am I suppose to offended?"he asks.
"Um I don't know. I mean, guys like you aren't suppose to be this way, all shy and nice, smart, ... romantic. You know, you're suppose to be all stupid, and a jock, getting drunk at parties, sleeping around. All that that of things."I stop, blushing embarrassed at all the things I just said.
"Oh... um... well, I'm not one of those... "he says lamely, and I look at him raising an eyebrow at him. I could see the slight blush on his cheeks. But he doesn't look back at me. "Um.. No. I'm just a hopeless romantic."he replies nonchalantly like it was no big deal. Not that there real was, ....nothing wrong with it.
Although I couldn't help but sniffle a giggle as I replied. "Oh yeah totally.." but it didn't work. I bursted out laughing, even though I don't know why. But it felt good to laugh.
"Hey, hey its not funny. Can we just.. talk about something else."he asks lowly.
I let out my last chuckle before I said. "Sure, about what?"I ask.
"Geez I don't know.. a lot of things."he replied sheepishly.
"Like what? Oh how about guys or cotton candy?!" I squeak in fake enthusiastic.
I hear him chuckle and I could just imagine him shaking his head. "Yea sure we can talk about boys and cotton candy."
"You do realize I was joking, right?" I ask.
