Zoe's POV
Ever since Anthony practically ran out of that classroom. I couldn't stop thinking of him. And even Andrew couldn't distract me from the thoughts. Now, I'm not saying that I like him, I just feel guilty. Like I own him an apology for what I did to him. Now, that I'm with Andrew, my mind has really opened, like I can now see clearing. Almost, but still. I realized, when I seen Anthony, how much I hurt him. I still don't know exactly what I did to him. But I got an idea.
So, when Andrew, me, and Anthony get together after school, if I get a chance, I just want to apologize to him. I just hope he'll listen. I mean, after that day I last seen him, before he walked out. That look he gave me. It was so harsh, so cold. But before that, I remember how he acted when he came to my house. He looked miserable, and sounded so broken.
Then I snapped out of my daze when everything went black. "Guess who?" someone whispered into my ear.
I didn't say anything, knowing it was Andrew. And pretending I was thinking even though he can't see my face. "D-derek, i-if its you. P-please, j-just leave me alone."I fake stuttered.
Then suddenly Andrew removes his hands, and turns me to face him. "Who's Derek?" he asks.
"Oh, you know, my bully."I say, nonchalantly, snaking my arms around neck and he wraps his around my waist.
I see him grin for a second, then his face goes back to serious. "Your bully?"he asks.
"Oh yea, but trust me, he doesn't mess with me anymore."I say.
He's quiet for a minute, thinking about what I just said, then says, "You sure?"he asks with concern.
I smile, and give him a nod. "I'm sure. Don't worry around it."I tell him.
He stares at me for a second longer, then nods his head. "Ok. Oh, and I wanted to ask you. I'm having a game this Friday. I was wondering if you could come?"he asks.
"Uh... um... I-I don't think so."I say to him.
His face falls. "What? Come on. I want you there. Its kind of a thing the basketball players do with their girlfriends. Or the person their dating. And this is the first game I had while I'm dating you. And I want to see you cheer me on, wearing my jersey."he says.
I laugh, "Mmm, very tempting, but I can't. I can't risk it."I say the last part quietly. "You know that."
"I know, I know. But can't you just sneak out or something. Please."he begs.
I let out a frustrated sigh, "I'm sorry. But I don't want to go to a game where it can be noticeable that I'm hurt from bruises. Or even if I get a swollen cheek or lip. Now do you
really want me do that, get bruised and the possibility of embarrassment?"I ask.He smiles sadly, "Yea, yea. I'm sorry."he says.
"Ah, its fine, really. And if I get a chance somehow. I'll text you I can go."I tell him.
He smiles at me,and I smile back. And when he starts leaning for a small kiss. I finally see Anthony. He stares at us with a hurt in his eyes. But when he sees me looking back at him, he immediately turns away with a hard look on his face. And thats when I pull back from how close we are, with a blush on my face.
"Uh.. um.. n-not here."I stutter, and try to pull away from him.
But he just pouts, "Ah, come on. Give me a small kiss."he tease, giving me a kissing face.
I blush some more, and push him away, laughing. "No. Seriously, stop it."
"Fine, whatever."he says, as he starts walking away. Then he catches me off guard by pulling me by waist and putting his lips on mine. It only last a few seconds, but my face burns even more.
