"It is tomorrow," Peter said as Darla opened the door with a small smirk on her face. So she hadn't dreamt it she thought as she saw Peter's gorgeous face in the morning light.
"Yes it is, well technically it's today now, tomorrow is always tomorrow." Darla clarified but it only made Peter confused but also intrigued with her knowledge and her strong natured ways.

"So how about that date?" Peter questioned trying to get her off the topic of tomorrows.

"Can we stay here... in Illinois?"

"Sure, if you want..." Peter didn't mind not flying back right away, he was tired from sitting in her tree waiting. He was waiting until Darla's parents left for work before he moved in on the house. He had been watching her all morning. At 7 she woke up and immediately started dancing around the house in her avocado pajama shorts and faded cat print shirt. Her room was a bright blue, like the lagoon back in Neverland and even through Peter had been watching her house for a few hours examining her from a distance, only her dog saw him. The little mutt barked and barked and Darla yelled at him to stop. 'There is nothing there' she had said while looking around. 'What are you barking at?' But the little dog continued to bark. Peter had stuck his tongue out at the little dog, as he laughed, and taunted the dog from above. But, when the little dog ran out the door to greet Peter, he became aggressive and louder than usual. His tail stopped wagging and he growled at Peter. Peter took a hesitant step backwards, eyes wide at the now vicious dog.

"Tank, stop it! Be nice, this is Peter." She spoke to the dog as if could understand, but Tank kept barking madly at Peter. Darla scooped him up apologizing to Peter right away.

"It's fine, I'm not much of a little dog person."

"He will grow on you." Darla simply said and turned back to the house. Peter waited a shaky moment until he realized that he was supposed to follow Darla in. She turned back to Peter after putting Tank down and handed Peter a dog treat. "Give this to him." Peter did as she said and Tank momentarily stopped barking, chewed his treat, then continued to bark again. "Well if you stick around long enough, he will like you." She reassured Peter and at the thought of longer with Darla Peter smiled.

"If I stay? You don't think I'm serious about this," he motioned to them "this is real?"

"You are a fictional character come to life." She stated this as if it explained everything. Peter stood unamused. "It's crazy." She said louder this time and turned back to her bowl of cereal. "You hungry?"

"Starving." Darla pulled out another bowl and opened the cabinet revealing more boxes for him to choose from.

"So what else is real?" She asked between bites as Peter examined the almond milk. "It's good just pretend it's normal milk." Peter poured it in the bowl and examined the clear, milky liquid that covered his mini wheats. "So what else is real?"

"What do you mean?"

"What else is real? Like Neverland is real, so what else is?"

"I still don't understand." They sat down at the table, Tank still sniffing Peter madly, Peter tried to shoe him away but Tank was persistent.

"Is Narnia real? Or Wonderland?" Darla scanned her tiny bookshelf that consumed the family room wall.

"Not that I know of."

"What about... Beauty and the beast?"

"What about them?"

"You know them?" Her eyes went wide and she leaned in spilling some of her cereal on the table. "Like personally?"
