            ***************

Peter and Penny made their way back to Neverland for a bit before breaking the news to the Jones about Penny's new schooling schedule. When they arrived and told Tink what happened and what their plan was Tinkerbell was thrilled about their return but outraged that someone had hurt Penny, her Penny.

"I know Tink, but she's a tough kid and-" Tink jiggled up and down in horror. "She punched him in the face, twice." Tink nodded in approval but was still upset that Penny was being bullied. "Penny will want to tell all of you about her encounters with those little first grade monsters at the welcome home feast."

"It was supposed to be a surprise!" Jax moaned dropping from the roof, just another thing Peter still needed to fix.

"Then don't tell John, he can't keep secrets." Peter replied as Jax ran out of the room in disbelief that their surprise had been spoiled. "She looks up to you Tink, and she asked about you every night back in Illinois." Peter tried to get Tinkerbell off of Penny's unfortunate situation and onto happier things. Tink smiled looking out the door watching Penny play with her friends. "She loves you, just like Darla loved you." Peter rummaged through Penny's bag, "She also made... Penelope!" Peter called and she came sprinting in.

"Hi Tinkerbell," she said giving her a gentle kiss that made Tink blush.

"Where is your coloring book?"

"Oh, Tink, you are going to love this! It's a fairy coloring book dad got me so I could keep you close." She threw some things out of the way sending them flying to the floor and retrieved her coloring book. "I made sure all the flowers were the correct colors too and I made all the fairies look like you!" Tink viewed the pages as Penny flipped through the book.

Tink had become attached to Penny right away, just as Tinkerbell loved Darla which was strange for her to like anyone, but Penny's mother Darla was different so when Darla died, Tink took the motherly duty upon herself to take care of Penelope and made sure she grew up to be just like her mom, maybe just like Tinkerbell too.

Penny had taken charge since the rest of the kids thought Peter was too old for fun. Penny was 10 years old now, double digits, oh yeah! She didn't want to grow up anymore and the rest of the lost kids didn't understand why Peter wanted to grow up. They knew he fell in love, gross, but they were happy to have Penny. They welcomed her as their new leader, and they welcomed her rambunctious ways.

"It's hard being the daughter of Peter Pan," Penny complained as she paced the Neverland playground. Peter had seen how much Penny loved the playground at school so he decided to make one on Neverland and all the kids loved it. "I have so much to live up to." She was being dramatic, she was theatrical as always. "So much magic, so much fun, so much... you know what I want to do right now?" She looked down to her copy of Peter Pan, her mother's book. "Pirates" she said simply.

Peter had been in Illinois, dealing with their old home, taking time off of work, discussing what to do about visiting the Jones. He was exhausted from adulting so he gave himself a break by resting in their tree house. He didn't know what Penny was planning, had he known he wouldn't have been resting, he would have been stopping her plan before it was put into motion.

"I need some lost girls and boys, some kids like me... to fill the void of a missing Peter Pan." She bellowed, jumping up and glancing around at nothing in particular. The kids looked around wide eyed. Peter was gone? "Now I should explain..." Penny started again, seeing their confusion.
