Kayden's POV

"I need you to call Chris and Kat." Wrote on the piece of paper. Sofia looked at me in shock. We were both in her small office.

Our conversation for the past 30 minutes was on this piece of paper. My step father can have all sorts of people trying to listen to my conversation.

"They will kill you." She wrote.

I don't have any other way to get Haley out of there. I need them to be ready if I try to sneak her out later.

"I want to talk to them."

And so she called Chris. In a few minutes he was knocking on the door. I hid behind the drapes.

"Babe is everything okay?" I heard Chris.

"Yes yes! I'm fine. I just wanted to show you something." Sofia said.

"What is it?" Kat asked.

"Was there anyone in the hall way?"

"No." Kat said. "Just the nurse at the front desk.

"Good. Now can both of you promise me you won't freak out. Just please let me finish explaining." She stopped for a moment.

"Come out." She said a moment later with a deep sigh. I wished I could just disappear from the surface of this earth. But Haley has to leave that place so I stepped out.

Kat stood up with great impulse she knocked over the chair she was sitting on. Chris grabbed her.

"I told you two. Let us finish explaining." Sofia commanded.

I stood far away from them.

"Where is she?" Chris snapped. He took large steps towards me until he was just an inch away from me. "I asked you where is Haley!?"

"She's fine." I answered. "Quinn won't lay a finger on her unless he wants something from me."

"How are you expecting me to trust you Kayden?" He asked. "We trusted you. I thought you were that older brother our family needed but I don't even know what's happening to my sister. How do you think that feels?"

"I know damn well how that feels!" I yelled. "I lost my sister remember? And you think I don't understand how that feels? He's using her to make me do what ever he wants."

"Well then give him what he wants." Chris snapped.

I stared at him. I think maybe if I die here right now they could find a way to get her out and she'll be free to hate me for the rest of her life. Quinn won't get what he wants.

"Quinn is my Step father." I spoke plainly. I saw Chris's shoulders drop. "He wants me to take over after him. Same reason why he killed my step sister."

"She died in the attack." I didn't know how to explain the truth I've tried to conceal for soo long.

"I'll give him what he wants. When I have the chance to bring Haley out tonight all I want is for you to take her away. Cause I don't know what else he wants from me."

There was a torturing silence filled in the room.

"Do as he says Chris." Sofia spoke standing next to Kat.

"Trust him? With our lives too?"

"Haley would." My eyes moved to Kat. "Beside he wouldn't have come back to us if he didn't care."

"But still what if he's making up this whole story to fool us again?" He was right to be mad at me. "I'm not doing anything he says unless he gives me proof that he was just a victim of circumstances."
