"Good morning love!" I opened my eyes to the slight rays of sunlight falling across his face next to me.

"Good morning babe!" I murmured before closing my eyes and snuggling into his chest. He let out a little giggling before he put his hands around me pulling me even closer. I inhaled taking in the smell of his minty body wash I usually steel from him.

"You know we can't stay like this the whole day." He spoke right before leaving a kiss on my head.

"Mh hm..." I agreed but I was still tired. With my eyes still closed. But I'd rather spend the entire day with him this close to me.

"OK come on." He sat up leaving me pouting. "Damn girl you've gotten lazy!" I laughed as he picked me up and I clung on to him like a koala.

He went into the shower after I came out. I got dressed in a random shirt I found in his closest then sat down in front of the mirror. I was a disaster.

I came home last night. I spent over five months in the hospital. I look pale, I looked like I was sick. Ironically, I was. I am. My face has gone down along with my body.

I picked up my brush to comb my hair. The hospital had to chop off a bit cause they actually couldn't treat me with my hair getting everywhere. I brushed my hair not looking at anything specific in the mirror. It still fell over my shoulders though it was not a neat cut. They cut off a considerably large amount. I zoned out completely. My straight long hair was short and messy. I sighed when I felt it slide off my fingers. Kayden used to love it.

"You're beautiful." I heard a deep but soft voice behind me. He slowly took the hairbrush from my hand and started fixing my hair. I looked at his reflection in the mirror and met his eyes.

"You're just trying to make me feel better." I looked away.

"I could at least try." He went back to focusing on my hair as I sat there like a little kid. "I can never tell you to forget it or cheer up after everything that happened. But the least I can do is tell you the truth when you don't believe your own thoughts."

"I wish we had more time." I murmured.

"Haley I'm sorry-"

"It's not your fault babe." Suddenly the imaged of him being tortured flashed in the back of my head. He lost himself a long time ago. I want him to know he can find himself in my memory. "I just wish we could have been a normal couple Kayden."

"Okay." He slowly put down the hairbrush after a long pause. "Let's be normal." He came to my side and knelt down in front of me. "Let's play a game."

"What game?"

"We'll be a happy married couple." He flashed a beautiful smile at me. His eyes turning into half crescents. It was a forceful smile, trying to hold back everything he wants to say. "Come on." He made me stand up. "We'll start with a kitchen scene. I'm your darling husband who woke up to cook breakfast before you woke up. Now I'm gonna go downstairs and your gonna come down in a little okay?"

There was a knock on the door. "This is childish Kayden." I laughed as he turned around to open the door.

Lizzy popped her head in.

"Good morning Liz!" I smiled spreading my arms and she came running in for a hug.

Kayden smiled still standing at the door.

"Well then, let's enjoy it while it lasts." With that he ran downstairs.

I came out of the room holding Lizzy's hand. It's been quite some time since I woke up with such a clear mind. I slowly stepped down the corridor.
