Kayden's POV
I came out of the hospital about two hours ago. Right now I sat under the tree looking at the ferries wheel far ahead against the beautifully painted sky. The warm air brushed against my face as I watched another day go by.
The time she had is almost out. They said she might even pass away in the coma. Maybe even this week.
'Her heart can't support her anymore its weak.' That's what they said. I knew I was not going to live if I never get to say 'I love you' to her. I thought of Lizzy who wanted to talk to her. I brought her here a few weeks ago. She loved the view.
"Come on up!" It was her voice again. I was hallucinating. "It's safe don't worry!" I looked up. She was sitting on the tree.
"Baby be careful!" Those were my words that day.
"Oh come on!" She smiled at me. "The view looks soo much better up here than down there."
I remembered climbing up. That little smile on her face, the beautiful white sundress she wore perfectly complimenting a slightly tanned skin and her dark hair pulled into a ponytail. We sat there writing on our journal.
"You wanna go on the ferris-wheel?" I asked her. Her response was an excited nod. "Kay come on!"
"I miss you love!" I said out loud.
"Kayden!" it was a familiar voice. "Kayden!" I turned around to see Damon running towards me. "I was looking for you for the past two hours man!" He stopped to catch his breath.
"Why would you look for me?" I stared at the sun setting far beyond my vision. There's no need for the world to care for me. Haley was leaving me just like the sun is. Except she's not gonna come back. I don't wanna live without her. My heart won't let me live.
"We have to go to the hospital." Damon spoke between breaths.
I felt like I knew what he was gonna say. My heart shattered into a million pieces and I knew there was no Haley to help me pic it up this time. I was alone. Again. She left me. A tear left my eye.
"It's Haley, she...."
And I took off in a run.
??? POV
I opened my eyes. Breathing wasn't as hard as I expected. My body was stiff and the air was neither hot nor cold.
"I was waiting for you to come around." I knew that voice. I haven't heard it for years. I looked around trying to find where it came from.
"Dad?" My voice came out dry. I kept looking for him.
"Yes my love." He was sitting at the edge of my bed.
"Dad?" Though my vision was blurry but I noticed I was still in the hospital room. "Am I..."
"No Haley." He didn't let me finish. "Your not dead."
"I missed you dad." My eyes stayed focused on him as he stood up and came close to me.
"I missed you too my love." I tried to reach out for his hand. But he was like a fading fog. I couldn't touch him.
