Ahmad could not hear the words anymore, he tried to listen but he was wondering whether he had anything to do with the happiness that shined from Leyla's voice.
He remembered the last time he saw his mother and kissed her forehead. He tried to recall her motherly smell. He promised himself to call her as soon as the program finishes.
Aicha: ...Right after graduation, I made an internship in a small company, and that is when I met my husband. He made me feel welcomed right away. I have never met anyone who didn't ask me how I got my scar. But he was only focused on helping me and knowing me. Sometimes I wasn't sure if he saw it at all which was impossible.
His kindness made me fall in love with him and we are married for 8 months and also expecting a baby. I lost everything back home and came here with a daily reminder of it. However, I found here my husband who became my home and my family. I can enjoy life again and I am going to become a mother insha'Allah. This is my story and I hope it can give the message to every girl or woman that love does exist and there is always hope for us to be happy again.
