Two days passed since he have left her at her house that day, he knew life is a complicated game but he never expected that one sentence from her can make him feel sad, happy, confused, and concerned but also relieved, all at once. He was sad about her condition but happy that she confided herself to him, confused and concerned about what he can do for her but relieved that she did break up with him.
These two days passed really quickly and the only thing that made him get out of his mind is a pain in the stomach that made him remember that he did not eat yet that day.
He prepared himself a cup of coffee and a toast. His hunger was roaring but he quickly forgot about it as he was imagining Leyla with him to share his humble meal, he thought about the hug they shared in front of her door. He got frozen when she got on her toes and tried to snuggle in his jacket that night.
Ahmed is a man that has studied and worked in several countries and he befriended people of many religions and nationalities. But the eastern man in him never dies. Despite his happiness with the hug that he shared with Leyla, and his full awareness that her behavior was not only an expression of love and appreciation but also of loneliness. The eastern man in him wished he had taken the first step, and the eastern man in him feels that he has lost control of the matter.
Ahmed always knew that despite everything he read and everything he wrote about women's rights, he remains an oriental man and it is difficult for him to change himself. This makes him consider himself the hero who will save all women and who must take control of matters when things get complicated. Which confuses him and makes him doubt everything he knows., a hug came from the woman who lives in his depths to disperse everything he once knew about love, women, and especially Arab women.
Ahmed received a morning message.
L: Good morning. I feel great today and I don't have work until the evening. Do you want to share lunch with me?
A: Good morning my love. I feel great when I hear from you too. Yes, lunch seems a great idea. I will come and pick you up at 1 pm. It is okay?
L: 1 pm is good. See you soon.
