cat; k. kazuha

1. a cat

you and kazuha moved into the same apartment in your second year at liyue high, to make expenses and studying less harsh. you've known each other since you were in preschool, being neighbors and all.

6:52 AM.

you woke up to a beautiful aroma coming from the kitchen. when you opened your door, you saw kazuha already dressed for school, cooking breakfast.

"good morning, y/n. today's breakfast is bacon and eggs!"

"mornin' kazu! smells great!"

that day was the start of the second semester of your third year in liyue high.

8:21 AM.

the two of you walked to the train station together, starting small conversations every now and then.

as you neared your destination, kazuha randomly stopped walking. he seemed to be picking up something.

"...kazu?"

"sorry- just needed to tie my shoe." (LIAR)

bitch wtf you don't even have laces- you thought. eh who cares.

8:32 AM.

the two of you boarded the train and as usual, it was pretty crowded.

unfortunately, only one seat was available.. and of course, you couldn't really share it. being the gentleman he is, he offered the seat to you.

"hey kazu- could i hold your bag? i'm the one sitting down anyway." you asked, feeling bad that you took the seat.

"sure."

he placed the bag on your lap. it was super heavy.

"what do you have in here!? it's heavy!" you whispered, just loud enough for him to hear.

"uh- wait don't open it-"

too late. you opened the bag, and a small cat popped out.

"awh, it's so cute. what's it's name?" you questioned your friend.

kazuha sighed. you probably wouldn't have listened even if he finished his sentence.

"i don't know yet. found it this morning."

"ohh- is that why you bent over?"

he nodded.

8:45 AM.

finally, you two arrived at your educational abode, liyue high. you were five minutes early.

"soo uh- what are we gonna do with this cat?" you asked.

"hmm- maybe we could leave it near the tree in the lunch area. if it's still there by lunch, we'll feed him. if it's still there after school, i suppose we take it home and take turns caring for it." kazuha responded, as the little cat started to fall asleep in his arms.

"alright- good idea."

12:24 PM.

you didn't see kazuha during most of the periods. this was strange, due to the fact you two were in the same class. what was he doing? suddenly, you remembered the small cat. 'maybe he skipped to care of the cat.. wait- didn't kazuha say we were going to check on the it? where is he? is he already there? '  you rushed to the tree, and saw the little cat eating from kazuha's hand. (how adorable!!)
