10:13 AM.

your eyes fluttered open, and you looked around the house. you were still in the living room, with kazuha asleep on your shoulder and the cat asleep in your lap.

you carefully got up and walked to the kitchen, trying not to wake up your roomates. as you opened the fridge, you heard some shuffling noises in the background.

"good morning y/n." said a raspy, tired voice.

"oh- you're awake?" you asked kazuha, as you watched him attempt to remove the tangles from his messy hair.

he walked up to the counter and stood next to you.

"what do you want for breakfast?" kazuha asked, still trying to fix his hair.

"hmm- let's order food."

11:47 AM.

the two of you ended up visiting the cafe xiao and venti worked at.

"hey y/n! hey kazuha!" said venti, jumping and waving from behind the counter.

"oh- hi!" aether called out- also visiting the cafe.

"hi everyone!!" you responded, eager to see all these familiar faces. (oh- did i forget to tell you they're in a band together?)

you and kazuha walked over to aether's table, sitting down with him. after preparing everyone else's drinks and snacks, venti and xiao joined you.

"sooo- how's the band going?" you questioned, trying to start a conversation.

"we're doing alright- but we need assistance..." replied a pouting venti, implying that he wanted you to come along.

a short silence full of thoughts.

"i guess i could help." you replied, wanting to join in on their activities.

you took a bite of the cafe's famous strawberry cake. you immediately understood why it was famous... the taste was truly one you wouldn't forget. your cheeks started to grow in size, due to the amount of cake you stuffed in your mouth. kazuha looked at you. pfft, they look like a chipmunk- how cute.

"oooo who's this?" asked aether, finally noticing the small cat in your arms.

"oh- this is sesame. kazu and i found it on the sidewalk yesterday, and we decided to take it in."

"awww how cute!" aether squealed. "damn, you guys live together, share a pet, and act all lovey-dovey around each other. you sure you aren't dating?" he teased.

a shade of pink appeared on your face. kazuha's too. everyone went silent.

...

"ugh- well anyways, should we head over to aether's? maybe we could come up with song lyrics there." xiao grunted, ending the awkward silence.

"okay."

12:01 PM.

the five of you arrived at aether and lumine's shared apartment. their place was the only one big enough to fit instruments in.

they lead you to the band room, which had sound-proof walls. i guess they didn't want to annoy lumine. anyways, woohoo! you finally got to find out everyone's roles!
(you knew they were in a band, but  never actually got to see them play. you've just been listening to their music lol)

"wow- aether, you play drums?" you were surprised. he didn't seem like the type of person who would fulfill that role.
