epilogue 1

"ugh. i miss kazu so much." you whined. 

you were in your second year of college, missing your beloved as much as always.

every day, you sent a picture of something to kazuha to update him on your life. in return, he did the same.

years later, you were at another graduation ceremony, all the way in sumeru.
y/n and and their friends are now in their twenties.

10:33 AM.

"oh my gosh- it's so hot here. and it's not even noon yet..." lumine complained, trying to fan herself with a graduation certificate.

"lulu- you're gonna crease the papers!" aether uttered, snatching the papers from his twin. "don't you have those tiny electric fans in your bag, collei? could we borrow one?"

"of course! lemme look for it.." the green-haired girl responded.

unlike liyue high, sumeru akademiya's graduation was in the morning. you were now getting brunch with the group at some outdoor restaurant.

after that, the group headed to a public pool to cool off.

you and cyno seemed to be the only individuals interested in the actual pool.

aether and tighnari were having some snacks under an umbrella, whereas lumine and collei relaxed in the hot tub.

"c'mon guys, WATER you doing? come play in the pool. meheh-" cyno shot some puns at the others.

no one laughed, and tighnari frowned. "cyno."

he got up from his seat and tackled cyno in the pool.

you laughed your ass off as collei tried her best to keep tighnari from ripping cyno into pieces.

after a while, everyone went to a hotel and stayed the night. you watched a few movies together, and slept around 3 am.

8:37 AM. the next morning.

"did everyone pack their things?" aether questioned the group.

a simultaneous "yes" came from everyone. you checked out of the hotel, and heaved your luggage to a decently large car.

you were dropped off at the airport by cyno, tighnari, and collei who planned to stay in sumeru.

"i'll miss you guys." collei smiled, before initiating a big group hug. you couldn't help but tear up a little.

"thanks for everything!"

at last, your journey began.

(in this time period, teyvat had expanded a lot. liyue university is pretty far from sumeru's akademiya; a 8-10 hour flight. unfortunately, you and kazuha were too busy during your college years to travel such distances. mere calls and texts were your last resort.)

you took a taxi home, passing by familiar buildings you grew up seeing. what a nostalgic feeling.

9:45 PM.

you stepped foot into the apartment. your home.

sesame and jiji were in the living room.

"awh, you two grew up too fast." you sighed. jiji grew bigger than sesame! "did you miss me?"

sesame meowed in response.

you wondered, where's kazu? y/n settled their luggage on the couch, and looked around the  home.

"oh. he must be out." you whispered to yourself. "i guess i'll unpack."

with loads of bags to empty, you finally filled up your closet, then went to clean yourself up.

after a warm bath, you looked into the familiar mirror, and noticed something on the counter. you saw the shirt you bought for kazuha before you left for sumeru.

"good thing i bought an oversized one." you mumbled. "he probably grew a lot."

you decided to put on the shirt, and headed to the living room to spend time with the cats. you watched some episodes of a show for a bit, before hearing keys jingling at the door.

10:39 PM.

a familiar face walked in.

"y/n? am i dreaming?" kazuha beamed, before dropping his groceries and running up to you.

you stood up as he tackled you onto the couch, hugging you tighter than ever before.

"i didn't know you were coming back today!" he exclaimed. "if i did, i would've cooked you a feast."

you sat there quietly, listening to kazuha ramble about memories with a big smile.

you responded lovingly,"i missed you too. also, who allowed you to get this tall!?"
